This is my post for #freewriters 2191 prompt eat free hosted by @mariannewest and @daily.prompt

Back when there were fish houses and plenty of fish the prices would drop so low that it was not worth it to the fishermen to catch and sometimes the fish houses had too many to sell and break even. They tried to donate the fish to homeless shelters, a boy's camp and Churches for people to eat free but the shelters and Churches both turned the fish down because they were not cleaned and d-boned. I have always thought that if I ran a shelter or Church I would ask people to help clean the fish.

I know when I was a child this would not have been a problem, the people in a Church would even volunteer to clean them for the people in a shelter to eat.

Have we as a society become so lazy that we turn down free food unless it is prepared for us? In a few years, I wonder if the fish are cleaned and d-boned if they will turn them down because they are not pre-cooked.....

I have had one of our rooms stacked full of things from when I used to have yard sales. I have been cleaning it out because I am just too old to have sales anymore, it got to be too much on me, the hauling, unpacking, and packing so it has been sitting in this room for 6 years, I am tired of looking at it so I have been cleaning it out. I posted on a free stuff page on FB and in 2 days I got rid of all of the clothes. I hauled the other things to 2 Church thrift stores and have one more load to take to them. I also took all of the extra Christmas lights and other Christmas decorations to La Porte Farms, it is a petting zoo that is free to enter and she has many events for our community. She goes all out on lights and decorations for Christmas or any other holiday.

On the same free page, I saw that someone asked for old computers. I told him that I had several that I bought at an auction. I have this many because I wanted a desk but had to take everything that was on the pallet. I got them back in the early 1990s so they are old but I think they will work if one of our breaks down. They came from my local police station, I guess they were upgrading them.

In the past week, the guy has sent me several messages wanting them but my gut keeps telling me not to get rid of them. I told him that I spoke too soon about getting rid of them. I googled them to see if they are good for anything and they are not. I just do not understand why I have the feeling to keep them, what I do know is I should follow my gut feeling. So I covered them with old curtains and when I get the room cleared out, I will use them for bookshelves to hold all of my old records.

I was wondering if I have this gut feeling because someone wants them, but the guy does not want the monitors, printers and scanners and I have the same feeling about them. I made the shelves longer so that I could get 3 of the monitors under them and the others I will put in the closet and keep it all for now.
