Stingrays can hurt you BAD. This one my husband caught in the ocean, its tail was tangled in his net, and the only way for him to get it untangled was to cut it off. We have never found out what kind it is and we have never seen another one like it. He said its wingspan was 8 to 10 feet across. I know one thing and that is I would not want to be hit by its barbs. The stingrays in the river only have one barb, this one has three.

This is a Southern Stingray, it is what we have in the river. It attacks people only when it feels directly threatened, this is why you should always slide your feet when walking in waters where stingrays live.

Stingray barbs have backward-facing spines. You never want to pull one out backward, it has to go on through, you need to go to the Dr and have them deaden it so they can push it on through. It is best to let it bleed, that is if it is not stuck in an artery. Letting it bleed helps to get the poison out of the wound. The wound will rot all around the hole, this is normal, try to keep it open and let it drain.

This was a big stingray that someone caught when I was a child, I am sure that someone broke the barb off of it. If you catch one and do not want to be stuck while unhooking it, you can use long handle pliers and break the barb off, it is like our fingernails and will grow a new barb back.....

Since I have come to terms with having to keep the rabbit, we bought a cage for him. My husband found it on marketplace. They said it was a chicken run, it did not have a bottom in it. I do not think it would be much room for chickens but I knew it would work for Rudy.

The two ends were open I guess so you have to buy more and put them together, I closed them off and we had a big piece of some kind of plastic paneling that we put on it for the floor. I think he likes it, but he is mad at me. Today is the first day that he did not get a bottle. For the last two days I have given it to him 2 times a day but with only water in it and this morning I did not give it to him but I got worried if he was drinking enough water so I gave him a bottle of it tonight, he only drank half of it.
