Hello, my friends of this #Needleworkmonday community receive my greetings, hoping you are all well. In the middle of a sweltering heat, I set out to make this project of a three colored bag, from three pieces of recycling. It took me two days to make it, distributed between my free hours, which are few and between several power outages. As you can see life is not easy, so I choose to sew to entertain myself, and then I think that for me, it is very addictive to transform useful material, when I see a pair of pants that I don't use because they go out of fashion, I always keep them on a shelf and then look for a design or model and give free rein to my imagination. In this case, I made a combination of colors and textures, and the size should be between 47×33 cm. These pieces (03) are from three pants, one was an embroidered with sequins on blue jeans, then the yellow rectangle of a trouser leg out of fashion and the top of another worn gray embroidered. Then I made my two handles between blue and yellow, leaving a perfect combination. I will give you a brief explanation of the design.

En medio de un calor sofocante me dispuse a hacer este proyecto de un bolso de tres colores, de tres piezas de reciclaje. Hacerlo me llevó dos dias distribuidos entre mis horas libres, que son pocas y entre varios cortes de electricidad. Como verán la vida no es fácil, entonces opto por coser para entretenerme y luego pienso que para mí es muy adictivo esto de transformar material de provecho, cuando veo un pantalón que no uso por pasar de moda, siempre los guardo en un estante para después buscar un diseño o modelo y darle rienda suelta a la imaginación. En este caso hice una combinación de colores y texturas, y el tamaño debe estar entre 47x33 cm. Estas piezas (03) son de tres pantalones, uno era un bordado con lentejuelas en jeans azul, luego el rectángulo amarillo de una pierna de un pantalón fuera de moda y la parte superior de otro desgastado gris bordado. Entonces hice mi dos asas entre azul y amarillo, quedando perfecta la combinación. Les paso a dar una breve explicación del diseño.
Step by step//Paso a paso
Materials//Materiales:
- Scraps of (three pieces) blue, gray, yellow.
- Scissors, tape measure.
- 01 ruler.
- Thread, needle, and sewing machine.
- Design.
- 01 jeans flower.
- Liquid silicone.
- 01 White button.
- Retazos de (tres piezas)azul, gris, amarillo.
- Tijera, cinta métrica.
- 01 regla.
- Hilo, aguja y máquina de coser.
- Diseño.
- 01 flor de jeans.
- Silicón liquido.
- 01 Botón blanco.
Process//Proceso:
- First I made a diagram.
- Primero hice un diagrama.
- We cut the yellow pants taking advantage of the part with the following measures: 02 rectangles of 47×20 cm (Part A).
- Then we take the piece of jeans with embroidery, measure it 18×47 cm, and cut it (Piece B).
- We take the piece (B) and fold it. We sew the sides.
- Then we sew the sides of the pieces(A).
- Then we sew the pieces A and B together.
- We proceed to join the upper part (embroidered gray) with the pieces A and B.
- We measure the strips of 2(8×60 cm). Yellow.
- In blue, we measure 2(5×60 cm).
- We sew the strips or handles: The blue one over the yellow one and sew the border.
- Now we sew the handles on the top of both covers.
- Recortamos el pantalón amarillo aprovechando la parte con las siguientes medidas: 02 rectángulos de 47x20 cm.(Pieza A)
- Luego tomamos el retazo de jeans con bordado, lo medimos 18x47 cm, y cortamos.(Pieza B)
- Tomamos el retazo(B)y lo doblamos. Cosemos los laterales.
- Luego cosemos los laterales de las piezas(A).
- Después unimos con costura las piezas A y B.
- Procedemos a unir la parte superior (gris bordado) con las piezas A y B.
- Medimos las tiras de 2(8x60 cm). Amarillo.
- En azul medimos 2(5x60cm).
- Cosemos las tiras o asas: La azul sobre la amarilla y cosemos la orilla.
- Ya tenemos las asas ahora cosemos en la parte superior en ambas tapas.

Jeans flower:
- With a plastic lid as a mold I made 06 circles then cut them in half, these I sewed them together and made a gathering, 05 petals for the top, then 06 petals for the second layer. And a circle to cover the seam at the bottom. I glued everything with liquid silicone and in the center I placed a white button.
Flor de jeans:
- Con una tapa plástica como molde hice 06 círculos luego los corté a la mitad, estos los cosí entres sí, hice un frunce, 05 pétalos para la parte superior, luego 06 pétalos para la segunda capa. Y un círculo para tapar costura en la parte de abajo. Pegué todo con silicón líquido y en el centro le coloqué un botón blanco.

Very happy to achieve the challenge, one thing is to see the diagram and another is to join the pieces, sometimes it is complicated due to the hardness of the fabric, the machine can not sew and then you have to sew by hand, adjust measure, but finally I achieved my goal which was to have an attractive and practical bag. Besides, I am happy because I was able to give life to three pieces of different colors and textures. For a unique piece that will be useful in this new stage of school, which will soon begin, it will be for my daughter.

Muy feliz por lograr el reto, una cosa es ver el diagrama y otra es unir las piezas, a veces se complica debido a la dureza de la tela, la máquina no puede coser y entonces hay que coser a mano, ajustar medida, pero por fin logré mi objetivo que era tener un bolso atractivo y práctico. Además, me alegra porque pude darle vida a tres piezas de diferentes colores, texturas. Por una pieza única y que será útil en esta nueva etapa de clase, que pronto comenzará, será para mi hija.
Recycling is a way of reflecting art, using different materials joined together through thread and sewing we can reduce waste in terms of fabrics and reuse the new piece. Reciclar es una manera de reflejar el arte, usando diferentes materiales unidos a través de hilo y costura podemos reducir la basura en cuanto a telas y reusar la nueva pieza. Les cuento que en medio de un apagón en la noche de ayer, llovió refrescando el ambiente y logré dormir mejor. Y hoy me levanté mas temprano para terminar de redactar, traducir y por fin lograré publicar.
En cuanto al bolso, ¿les gustó como quedó? A mí me encantó, aun mi hija no lo ha visto, ¿quién sabe si le gustará?

Amiga, paciencia con el tema de la luz...no hay de otras. Aunque puedes hacer otra labor que no requiera del uso de la electricidad, como tejer...eso es lo mío.. jajajajaja.
