Sunday was a very normal day, I visited my son, there was a nice weather, although there was an intense heat, in the afternoon it rained heavily, improving notoriously the weather very good to make these fabrics and I was inspired through a diagram, to present it this Monday. I am excited about this technique, because before I saw it as difficult and did not investigate about it. Today I say that it is easy, but sometimes it has its difficulty. Without further ado, I will give a brief explanation.

Hoy estoy muy contenta de presentar y participar hoy lunes con un proyecto mas del tejido crochet con la técnica Granny Square, con una flor central. El día domingo trascurrió en un día muy normal, visité a mi hijo, hubo un clima amable, aunque si hubo un calor intenso, en la tarde llovió copiosamente, mejorando notoriamente el clima muy bueno para hacer estos tejidos y me inspiré a través de un diagrama, para presentarlo este lunes.
Estoy entusiasmada con esta técnica, porque antes lo veia como difícil y no investigaba al respecto. Hoy digo que es fácil, pero a veces tiene su dificultad. Sin mas a que decir paso a dar una breve explicación.
Step by step//Paso a paso
Materials//Materiales:
- Yellow, apple green, dark green, dark brown, purple and ecru wick yarn.
- Crochet needle Nº 2.
- Hilo pabilo color amarillo, verde manzana, verde oscuro, marrón oscuro, morado, crudo.
- Aguja crochet Nº 2.
Abbreviations//Abreviaciones:
Ch: chain(s).
mp: half point.
mpa: half high point.
aum: increases.
pa: high point.
pad:double high point.
pr: slipped stitch.
Ch: cadena(s).
mp: medio punto.
mpa: medio punto alto.
aum: aumento.
pa: punto alto.
pad:punto alto doble.
pr: punto deslizado.
Process//Proceso:
Granny Square purple flower//Granny Square flor morada.
Color Yellow
- v1: Make a magic ring, in the 4chs, 1pa, 1ch, 1pa, repeat sequence to complete 8, 1ch, pr. Close ring, knot and hide yarn.
Color Purple
- v2: Insert purple color, make 3chs, 4pa, loosen the loop, and insert the needle in the first st, pull the loop before loosening and draw out the pineapple stitch, 3chs, 5pa, repeat sequence in each space, pr.
Color Apple green 🍏
- v3: Insert apple green yarn, make 3chs, 1pa unfinished, 1pa unfinished, then 1pa and this is passed through the previous ones closing the stitch, 3chs, repeat the same adding another pa, repeat sequence all around, and pr. Knot, cut and hide yarn.
Ecru
- v4: Make 2chs, 1pa, 3mpa, 3pa, corner(3pad, 2ch, 3pad), 3pa, 3mpa,3pa, repeat sequence, pr, knot, cut and hide yarn.
Color Amarillo
- v1: Hacer un anillo mágico, en el 4chs, 1pa, 1ch, 1pa, repetir secuencia hasta completar 8, 1ch, pr. Cerrar anillo, anudar y ocultar hilo.
Color Morado
- v2: Insertar el color morado, hacer 3chs, 4pa, se suelta la lazada, e insertar la aguja el el primer pa, halar la lazada antes suelta y se extra el punto piña, 3chs, 5pa, repetir secuencia en cada espacio, pr.
Color Verde manzana 🍏
- v3: Se inserta el hilo verde manzana, se hace 3chs, 1pa sin terminar, 1pa sin terminar, luego 1pa y este se pasa por las anteriores cerrando el punto, 3chs, repetir lo mismo agregando otro pa, repetir secuencia toda la vuelta, y pr. Anudar, corta y ocultar hilo.
Color crudo
- v4: Hacer 2chs, 1pa, 3mpa, 3pa, esquina(3pad, 2ch, 3pad), 3pa, 3mpa,3pa, repetir secuencia, pr, anudar, cortar y ocultar hilo.
Granny Square Sunflower Flower 🌻//Granny Square Flor girasol 🌻
Color Dark brown
- v1: Make magic ring, on it make 16 pa, pr. close ring, knot, cut and hide thread.
Color yellow
- v2: Make pineapple stitch: 3 chs, 3 pa, loosen loop and put the needle in the first pa and pull the loop, make 3 chs in the air, repeat sequence in each previous stitch, there are 16 petals.
Dark green
- v3: 3 chs, 2pa, 1pa unfinished, 1pa unfinished, then 1pa and this is passed through the previous ones closing the stitch, 2chs, repeat the same adding another pa, repeat sequence all the way around, and pr. Knot, cut and hide yarn.
Ecru
- v4:Make 2chs, 1pa, 3mpa, 3pa, corner(3pad, 2ch, 3pad), 3pa, 3mpa,3pa, repeat sequence, pr, knot, cut and hide yarn.
Color Marron oscuro
- v1: Hacer anillo mágico, en él hacer 16 pa, pr. Cerrar anillo, anudar, cortar y esconder hilo.
Color amarillo
- v2: Hacer punto piña: 3 chs, 3 pa, se suelta lazada y se mete la aguja en el primer pa y se hala la lazada, hacer 3 chs al aire, repetir secuencia en cada punto anterior, son 16 pétalos.
Verde oscuro
- v3: 3 chs, 2pa, 1pa sin terminar, 1pa sin terminar, luego 1pa y este se pasa por las anteriores cerrando el punto, 2chs, repetir lo mismo agregando otro pa, repetir secuencia toda la vuelta, y pr. Anudar, corta y ocultar hilo.
Color Crudo
- v4:Hacer 2chs, 1pa, 3mpa, 3pa, esquina(3pad, 2ch, 3pad), 3pa, 3mpa,3pa, repetir secuencia, pr, anudar, cortar y ocultar hilo.

Crocheting with the granny square technique, is very interesting because with a few squares we can make beautiful projects, which I have to keep knitting to be able to make a more demanding one like a blouse or a big bag or a tablecloth, more than 12 to 14 pieces.

Tejer a crochet con la técnica granny square, es muy interesante porque con unos cuantos cuadrados podemos hacer hermosos proyectos, los cuales tengo que seguir tejiendo para poder hacer uno mas exigente como una blusa o un bolso grande o un mantel, mas de 12 a 14 piezas.
This project fascinated me, I did it under a very cool weather, it was pouring rain and today while I'm making the content I feel a gentle breeze. Also, no trauma, you know what I mean 💡⚡.

Me identifico contigo en lo que expresas. A simple vista a mi también me intimidan un poco las cosas, pero luego resulta que no es tan complejo como pensaba, solo hay que documentarse bien y atreverse con buen ánimo y disposición.
