Hello #hive friends, special greetings to the #NeedleWorkMonday #community. This Sunday I was tempted to do a project of finishing some details from previous years of a personal collection that relates to the colors of the flag of my country Venezuela. A month ago I presented the first link, I was with uncertainty about making another publication dealing with those colors, those of my homeland, which once motivated me to do years ago we were overwhelmed with sadness because the struggle was unsuccessful.

Este domingo estuve tentada a realizar un proyecto de terminar unos detalles de años anteriores de una colección personal que se relaciona con los colores de la bandera de mi país Venezuela. Hace un mes presenté el primero enlace, estaba con incertidumbre al respecto de hacer otra publicación que tratara sobre esos colores, los de mi patria, que una vez me motivó a hacer años atrás nos embargaba mucha tristeza porque la lucha era infructuosa.
This Monday I learned of another accident against my fellow countrymen in the city of Texas, in addition to the fact that every day my brothers and sisters have suffered through endless tragedies trying to find new horizons. I have suffered an immense sadness and seeing my bag stored for several months. I saw that I could finish some accessories such as bracelets, necklaces, tails, hooks, ribbons, with the colors of my Venezuelan flag to give strength to family or friends of the deceased, and myself to take this inspiration and achieve to conclude it in honor of the fallen that this crisis has caused to our families.
Este lunes me entero de otro accidente en contra de mis coterráneos en la ciudad de Texas, aunado a esto que cada día pasado han sufrido mis hermanos atravesando un sin fin de tragedias tratando de buscar nuevos horizontes. He sufrido una tristeza inmensa y viendo mi bolsa guardada desde hace varios meses. Vi que podía terminar algunos accesorios como pulseras, collares, colas, ganchos, lazos, con los colores de mi bandera de Venezuela para dar fuerzas a familiares o amigos de los difuntos, y a mí misma para tomar esta inspiración y lograr concluirlo en honor a los caídos que esta crisis ha ocasionado a nuestras familias.

Materials//Materiales:
- Fabric scraps, yellow, blue, red and white.
- Thread and sewing needle.
- Large hook.
- Beads.
- Liquid silicone.
- Scissors.
- Circular molds of different sizes.
- Retazos de tela, color amarillo, azul, rojo y blanco.
- Hilo y aguja de coser.
- Gancho grande.
- Perlas.
- Silicona líquida.
- Tijera.
- Moldes circulares de diferentes tamaños.
Process//Proceso:
STEP 1
I took apart several pieces, they had defects, since now I have more experience in sewing and they had irregular structures, and I want to make a good composition in terms of presentation, I am going to make a restoration of the pieces.
PASO 1
Desbaraté varias piezas, tenían defectos, ya que ahora tengo mas experiencia en la costura y tenían estructuras irregulares, y quiero hacer una buena composición en cuanto a presentación, voy a hacer una restauración de las piezas.
STEP 2
Using geometric shapes such as: the circle to make flowers of two types and several squares to make flowers and some rectangles for ribbons.
PASO 2
Valiéndome de las figuras geométricas como: el círculo para hacer flores de dos tipos y varios cuadrados para hacer flores y unos rectángulos para lazos.
Assembly//Ensamblado:
- With liquid silicone I started to glue the first center piece on the rectangle.
central piece - Then the left and right pieces.
- I sewed the rectangle to the hook.
- To finish I sewed 08 small pearls in the center.
- Con silicona liquida comencé a pegar en el rectángulo la primera
pieza central- Luego las piezas de la derecha e izquierda.
- Cosí el rectagulo al gancho.
- Para finalizar cosi en el centro 08 perlas pequeñas.

Well, when I made this craft, I remembered that in my adolescence I also wanted to go to the USA, I had my ideals, I saw that it was a nation of opportunities and it called my attention and above all I wanted to speak English, I even started a course, but I did not finish it. In those years the country gave and gave many opportunities to the poor to study for free from elementary school to university, whoever did not get that benefit did not really want to take advantage of that opportunity. I, being poor, took advantage of it and graduated. And I no longer remembered that American dream that seems to me to have become a nightmare for many.
Bueno al hacer esta manualidad, recordé que en mi adolescencia también quise ir a los EEUU, tenía mis ideales, veia que era una nación de oportunidades y me llamaba mucho la atención y sobre todo deseaba hablar inglés hasta inicie un curso, pero no lo terminé. En esos años el país daba y dio muchas oportunidades a los pobres para estudiar gratuitamente desde primaria hasta universitaria, quien no haya obtenido ese beneficio no quiso verdaderamente aprovechar esa oportunidad. Yo siendo pobre aproveché y me gradué. Y ya no me acordé de ese sueño americano que me parece que se ha convertido en pesadilla para muchos.

En estos días la vida se ha convertido en una cima bastante inclinada, con muchos obstáculos para subir o mantenerte. Que muchas veces no disfrutas, ni gozas. Solo nos queda es cambiar la forma de pensar por ende sería otra forma de satisfacción. Yo creo que vivir en nuestro país, todavía existen oportunidades, no busquemos en otros cuando aquí a pesar de los sinnúmeros de inconvenientes podemos llevar una vida no como la vivimos años atrás. Pero aun así podemos llevar una vida con menos gastos, ser conscientes de que es lo necesario, que debemos aprender hacer trabajos manuales que existen aquí y en todas las partes del mundo, que no debemos creer todo lo que pintan, además seguir luchando eso es lo mas importante. Bueno es una reflexión.¿Y Uds. Qué opinan?
Doing this project calmed my anxiety, because sometimes thinking about so much difficulty makes you exhausted. But taking life little by little and with art in front of us using our hands helps us and makes us resilient, it is therapeutic.
Realizar este proyecto calmó mi ansiedad, porque a veces pensar en tanta dificultad uno se agota. Pero llevando poco a poco la vida y con el arte por delante usando nuestras manos nos ayuda y nos hace resistente, es terapéutico.

Buen día Egly. Que linda que te quedó está manualidad con los colores de tu bandera. Es bueno que a pesar de todas las dificultades puedas seguir creyendo en tu país, es cierto que dejar la tierra que uno ama es muy doloroso y lamentablemente hay que saber cómo rebuscarselas en el día a día.
