Poor development of Rosella plant even at the seed production stage

It is exactly 17 days ago I blogged about this particular green species rosella plant at its flowering stage. Rosella is called "Isapa" in Yoruba language and "Yakuwa" in Hausa Language. My mum doesn't let a week pass before we have a meal with either the leaves or soft tissues covering the capsule. I was fascinated by this because it has market value and I like the soup as well.

Today I dropped by the farm and can see that we we have some rosella capsules that houses the seeds forming already with some tiny layer of the soft tissue which I have expected to be larger and thicker.

For people who are vegetarians having rosella flesh this thick can be good enough as replacement for meat, to have something like thick flesh in your meals.
It has a good market value here since not many families can afford to buy meat, hence they purchase this from the market and add to their foods.

While I was here two weeks ago and seen how the flowers came out well I can't tell what has happened overnight for the plant to have produced very tiny capsules.

The soil is not totally dried since we still have occasional showers of rain although heavy rains have stopped, but the shower gives very good enough moisture content to the soil.

Maybe the soil fertility or something else must have become the problem
The rosella plant did grow so tall to a good extend, we actually have another species of this plant that doesn't grow this tall.

The main focus is how the plant have produced very tiny capsules and what could have been be the cause of this. Tiny capsules are a sign of poor productivity even though the leaves still looked healthy, they also came out tiny. This soil must have been very bad and not good enough for growing rosella. I don't know if anyone has an idea.

If the rosella flesh thick can be used in replacement for meat then it means the plant is very good.

It's not as if they have thesame nutrient ma 😂🤣😂.

Just that poor people who can't afford me will use this as a resemblance of it 😂
