A new variety of rose? - Breeding new varieties..

Breeding a new variety of rose is an exciting business. Different varieties of roses are crossed with each other. The exciting thing is that you never know which flower color or flower shape will emerge in the end.

Eine neue Rosensorte zu züchten ist eine spannende Angelegenheit. Es werden verschiedene Rosensorten miteinander gekreuzt. Das spannende ist, dass man nie weiss welche Blütenfarbe oder auch Blütenform am Ende dabei heraus kommt.

Our grandma tried it out. This is our homegrown rose called "Jasta". She is now blooming for the second year.

Unsere Oma hat es ausprobiert. Das ist unsere selbstgezüchtete Rose namens " Jasta". Sie blüht nun schon im zweiten Jahr.

Here again in the garden. It will probably remain a hobby gardener breeding, since it is not so robust against pests. Nevertheless, a great experience!

Hier nochmal im Garten. Es wird wohl eine Hobby-Gärtner Züchtung bleiben, da Sie nicht so robust gegen Schädlinge ist. Trotzdem, eine tolle Erfahrung!
