Every single Steem token you power up...makes a huge difference, and the future might be closer than you think it is.

I keep a close eye lately in the data @penguinpablo provides through his posts and I think they are really fascinating. Month after month ever since the beginning of the year powerdowns outperformed powerups.

But this is not the case anymore. HF’s 21/22 are in full effect and before we make conclusions whether it was a successful transition or not, I think it is safe to say that at least, gave reasons to people to stake their holdings rather than dump them on first chance.

There are of course various ways to increase the demand. One of them is the burning process, by sending steem to @null. Another is staking. I usually prefer the second option.

Reducing the “liquidity” of steem tokens from the exchanges shouldn’t be taken lightly...There are almost 95 million tokens out there for grabs.

So, for 6th day in a row I decided to sell some of the other shit coins that I am holding and buy more of what I believe is one of the most undervalued yet technologically advanced projects out there. And that is Steem of course.

700 more steem might not seem to be a massive purchase, yet it’s almost 4.5% increase in my stake, thus 4.5% increased rewards for everything I vote for.

More for you...more for me too

Someone could say: Hey man chill, fat wallets are out there curating, just wait for your turn when you write something useful and stake your earnings only.

As a matter of fact someone wrote that in a discord channel, so...real talk, but wrong mentality.

Interesting times are ahead of us and only time shall tell if we will enjoy the fruits of our efforts in the long run, but unless you are willing to take some risks too, you will never find out.

Purchased a little over 1300 STEEM yesterday all of which ended powered up.

It is always good to get it off the market.

I do not know how close it is but the liquid STEEM out there will be swallowed up quickly when we see the benefits of the next hard fork. With a Resource Credit Pool and the introduction of SMTs (on the internal exchange) that are paired with STEEM, we will see a huge "sink" emerge.

Liquidity to the internal market is needed and someone is going to have to power STEEM up to have the RC in the pool.

Agreed on everything, just a little concerned on how things will play out between SMT's and Steem-engine...people say that one will essentially fill each other up...

I feel it will be starting all over...

I have been powering up Steem as soon as I acquire some. To me, it is foolish to burn it.

Removing permanently tokens from circulation is a smart move. But on the other hand,,,would you burn your USD / Euro?

I think you make many valid points and I have just powered up my last 250 plus liquid Steem. I am undelegating a lot of my Steem and trying to move in the direction of the NewSteem. But I must admit I have seen the results of 50/50 split on the Steem Engine Tribes and it does point out the importance of curating and powering up to build a different type of community.

I agree with the point you make about Steem-Engine tribes. They are 50/50 and focus on engagement. It’s very profitable to curate there and I am enjoying what I think is a preview of what could happen on NewSteem.

If HF 21 triggered people to manually curate again that I call it a sucess

@mindtrap,
Definitely powering up is the best option. SP will be precious than gold / diamond in near future.

Hope you are right and you are making the right decision. I find myself contemplating if I should buy some steem too but I just can't convince myself yet XD.. I feel totally different for leo though, put another buy order yesterday and even convinced a good friend here to do the same... I feel the price of steem (in sats) will keep falling for a while so I will probably wait a bit more .

It's no secret that there were way too many flaws regarding steem...Yet I feel that under HF21 some of therm are gone...Alts are getting hammered every day. ALL alts...but I have a feeling that we'll survive.

As for the Tribes...I think that LEO will be the most successful one. Might be because of its unique content? Some people say it's way too niche to even try publish something there. I say...more for us...

unique content, a clear purpose, nice ideas for keeping liquidity low and most importantly the mentality of most people there.. Unlike the average steemian who powers down and sells for a quick profit, I guess most people there are for the long term and willing to hodl instead of instant gratification :)

I am in the process to think to increase my steem stake again!

Then HF 21 is a success. Think about all those people who are in the same process like you are

Hello dear friend @mindtrap.

"700 more steem might not seem to be a massive purchase ..."

Recently I read in a post that: "... each steem that we powerup has more weight and meaning than we imagine."
I totally agree with this.

Your investment is not negligible and on the contrary it will give you great returns. Curation levels have risen again, manual healing is back.

"... of what I believe is one of the most undervalued yet technologically advanced projects out there."

Very well said!

All best, Piotr.

Thx for prompt reply @mindtrap

Do you use telegram by any chance?

I would like to take some of your time and share with you some vision/idea behind "project hope" that I've been working on with few other guys from aSteemit.

I think that you would like what we're doing and you could also benefit from being part of our small community.

Your content fits very well to our interests, since you do post sometimes about topics related to technology, AI, blockchain, psychology, economy atc.

Would it be okey if I will send you an email explaining our goals and vision?

If your answer yes, then would you mind letting me know whats your current email address? Or reaching out to me? [email protected]?

Yours
Piotr
