LPUD Participant 📈

Artist Talent level - Intermediate

This is my fourth entry into the CYOA- Artist Category in the Zealy campaign. I have tried my best to produce yet another intuitive art, and this time the theme is "LPUD Participant- a role model Lion".

This task requires such a concept that elicits the importance of foundation just like we build our home on a solid foundation and when we think about our real world home, we dont mean to sell it, except for exceptional situation. We can draw that analogy in this task.

Here in Hive Blockchain too we have a immutable digital home, the power of that home can be enhanced with regular power up. Here in this Task we are talking about power up LEO to enhance LEO Power each subsequent month.

This is a LPUD Participant entry, therefore central theme of this task is "Building a rock solid digital home by powering up LEO every month on 15th".

Concept

To draw a Lion to in this task I took inspiration from the ancient Egyptian culture, in which Sekhmet was the lion-headed fire goddess and the statue of the Goddes was carved out of igneous rock.

Monolithic rock cut statues lasts for thousand years, they become part of heritage, they are existent for the last thousand years and they will remain so for the next thousand years. We just want to derive that theme into LPUD.

If LEO power(either earned through engagement or accumulated from open market) regularly finds its way to staking, it can become generational wealth. Through staking we get a wider sense of belongingness to the community.

The concept community is just like that rock statue, which will remain forver, the indivdals will come and go, but the ethos of community will continue to remain vibrant. If we really want to build such a powerful community, then staking in the form of LEO POWER should be the dominant theme and essential for sustainability in the long run.

Only if a community survives it can feed to myrid of threadrs, bloggers, etc. It's in another way is self-serving.

If we derive it from whole to part, which means from community to individual, only a self-sufficient individual(s) can truly progress in building a solid community. LPUD is intrisic to self-sufficiency in the long run.

LPUD is the very basic token of acceptance in the community, it fosters a sense of belongingness. We stake today for a bright tomorrow. Because LPUD also generates surplus value. How? The LEO we earned if we sell it then we basically sell at the market price, that's not the natural or actual price of the token.

For instance, day before yesterday LEO value was 0.054 USD, and today it is almost $0.07, tomorrow it will be more. If we continue to stake some amount of LEO every month, one day it will become a massive saving so uch so that the curation reward, stake incentives generated from this can help the users pay their bills, it can be a source of living for us.

Last but not the least, LPUD will help create a healthy middle class, which is essential to retain the decentralzied character of community.

Process

First I started plotting the outline of the Sekhmet Lion headed goddess which is a rock statue, the eyes of the Lioness is fiery, so I started with eyes, then nose, and started darkening the essential parts like nose, then I started developing the nunanced lines of mane of the Lion.

This depiction is purely derived from the rock statue to demonstarte rock solid digital home with regular LPUD. So the art is also rock solid art(although not a pro art)

This art is not three dimensional, but I tried my best to highlight the shadows and the side face with darker tone.

I tried my best to make it at least an OKAY type art, I am in the process of learning, and in this ongoing quest, I will try to improve as I proceed to the next task.
