Dusty spirit

My heart is made of a mans tears
My will is made of a man's fears
So tell me please if I can withstand such pressure
My flesh is like a bread soaked in water
My spirit burns and my skin melts like ice

Tell me please, was I made to withstand such pressure
Shouldn't I let laziness become my bestfriend
Why Shouldn't I watch the wind

Why have you given my heart a rod
It punishes me for every mistake
Yet it is drawn to foolishness
Why should I work hard and become wise
I am naturally born stupid

You gave me your spirit
But must I remind thou of my weaknesses
Have thou such a great faith in me to live without sin
To lead myself by your rod of self discipline

Shouldn't you take me by the hands
Feed me wisdom in the morning
And power in the night
Let me drink from your love jar
Until I become that you want me to be
