The Chinese Ghosts Festival 🎎🥮 - Practical in Cambodia🧧

Today in Cambodia, we celebrate Ghost Day, just like in Chinese tradition, with preparations that take longer for preparing food than the usual duration of Khmer festivals, making it quite excited I can't waiting for delicious food on a table, as people take this time to honor our ancestors and pay respect to the spirits.

I don't know much detail about the story behind them, and some people even share story to young generation without knowing the real. But all I just do is practice the same thing every single year just to keep this traditional continue. One of the greatest of this celebration is the offering in delicious food such as fried dumplings, grilled pork marinated in flavorful spices, and a wide option of cake, desserts which combine to create a special culinary experience.

As this become as a modern generation of the festivities, it is customary to offer coke as a beverage during Ghost Day, This traditional of Chinese traditions with our Khmer customs sure to create a time of praying, remembrance, and celebration, bringing the family together. Without missing this occasion, I also take the opportunity to go for a short walk in order to explore in the local area and discover some excellent restaurant or bakery where I can get in ordering new dishes, because I am fully aware that on this special day there must appears to be special promotions and cutie surprises awaiting gift.
