Understanding How To Prayers. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW

avatar

Prayer is one of the important aspect of our christian work with God. It will be impossible for two people to effectively walk together if there is no communication. That is why communication is one of the pillars of a relationship. Couples that lack proper communication among themselves will not have a happy home. As Father and His family, we need effective communication in relating with God.

Matthew 6:5-8 (KJV) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
**_God is a Father. He is our Father. A good father listening to the requests of his children. God is far better than our earthly fathers. He is more than willing to listen to our prayers. So, let us come boldly to Him at the throne of grace to receive mercy that will help in times of need.

Many of us have been praying the wrong way. We have been introduced to some incorrect methods of prayers and we keep it as our religious norm to pray the wrong type of prayers. Some of these wrong prayers were explained to us by Bro Eli Soriano in the MCGI Mass Indoctrination.

Bro Eli Soriano told us to avoid praying repetitious prayers. Those kinds of prayers are not right before God. The Bible says that we should avoid vain repetitions during our prayers.

Another thing that we must watch out for when praying is that we should not pray like the hypocrites. The hypocrites like praying to be seen by men. We should learn to be honest and approach God with simplicity when coming to pray.

Let our prayers be according to the doctrines of God.
