The Entrepreneurial Woman - My Admiration

The rate at which women are getting involved in business, risk taking and even crypto related projects is amazing. I was at a crypto related space show some time ago and I listened a lady speaking so confidently of a crypto project she's involved in and you could tell how well and how long she's been in that knowledge, it was admirable to me.

Those times have changed, times where women are meant for the kitchen alone or times when women are only to give birth and care for their kids and husbands. It's even more surprising to see more single ladies cater for themselves legally without selling their body or doing any improper act to make money.

Those times have changed a lot, we still have the housewives, the prostituting women, but we have a lot more women who are hardworking, taking risk and being entrepreneurs for their own sake and becoming a great asset for their family and the world at large.

With that in mind, I'd love to talk about entrepreneurial women with a personal story of a woman I admire.

An entrepreneurial woman is a woman who is involved in initiating, organizing and operating a business. Starting a business requires a lot from anyone especially the confidence that the business will do well, so we could say an entrepreneurial woman is confident, creative and innovative.

Not many start a business and continue with it but the ones who do can be very admirable. When I see women who run their own businesses and are doing well with it no matter how little the business is, I admire the fact that they've gone through the phases in becoming the women they are.

To become entrepreneurial, a woman has got to have more guts than usual. While there are benefits they will enjoy, there are also challenges and stereotypes they will have to overcome to stand and make progresses.

I know of a lady who has a home to run and a business to keep alive, her diligent acts have led her to growing a business that has become more useful to her society and has placed her family on a higher level, her husband's support is one not to be overlooked because we've seen cases where the husband becomes jealous and tries to hinder the woman from keeping up with her business.

Entrepreneurial women are mostly married, they are mostly supported by their husband. We still have the single ones who are doing well but we know just how much and how far a woman can go with the support of her husband.

An entrepreneurial woman is educated and independent: Of course, not all are educated through the four walls of a school but they turned their curiosity into knowledge by learning in different ways available for them. I know of a woman who didn't get access to even the lowest form of education but has a huge business going on for her and her family is doing well because of that. She chose to be independent and educate herself in her own way.

An entrepreneurial woman is creative and innovative: Like every other good business owners, women who own business tend to be creative and come up with better ideas to grow their skills and stay alert in the competitive world of businesses. While a woman could do well for being intelligent, without innovation and creative ideas, her business or skill could suffer in a changing world.

An entrepreneurial woman is more conscious and patient: A Business or even the simple act of dealing with people (customers) requires a lot of patience, I feel women are more tolerable in this aspect looking at it from the aspect of them taking care of the home regardless of the less appreciation they get for doing that. Women tend to take less risk than men so they are more conscious when about to undertake any. Of course, there are the ones who take risks more than the others.

An entrepreneurial woman sees opportunity in any challenge and takes it: I'll say women who are independent and thriving to help out are those ones who have seen their worth and are more intentional in taking advantage of opportunities even in the midst of challenges. A woman is an entrepreneur when she doesn't let society sentiments influences her thoughts.

One major challenge women entrepreneurs would face is, societal attitude.

A lady almost lost a customer simply because she's a woman and the customer felt he would be more comfortable with having her husband attend to him. The couple tried to explain how good the woman is with the business but the customer just couldn't see past the fact that she is a woman and would be inadequate to attend to him. It's kinda outdated to me for one to act like that as the world is changing and women are doing a lot more.

Other challenges would be the same challenges men do to through, women entrepreneurs are admirable and I have my aunt to thank for being a good role model in that aspect.
