Content Is King & Community Is Queen

I'm yet to find who originally said "Community is Queen" but I must say I love it when I heard the phrase in a movie last night. I've only learnt until yesterday that "Content is King" and of course knew the importance of that phrase on Hive but never really thought there's more to just having a content.

I also learnt recently that it was Bill Gates who said that Content is King and a lot of online users agreed with this as this have been said in a lot more places. With the online world, content and community is very much needed to achieve success in any blockchain or platform.

As a Hiver, I'll be directing this to the Hive platform where contents and community thrives. Even newbies today know that the platform is about creating contents before all other areas one could thrive on while being active here.

I can still remember when I joined Hive the first day and my onboarder was making sure I become part of a community and engage for some visibility. I didn't find the importance of it then but with time, it got clearer why he made me go through all that.

On Hive, you need to have contents but without a community, your contents may never be crowned the king it should be. That is how I can think of the phrase "Content is King & Community Is Queen".

What is your attitude towards content creation?

With the phrase "Content is King" in mind, how dedicated and consistent are you with making your contents King. And by that I mean, coming up with quality contents that places the platform on a good image. I've once searched through Hive contents from search engines and the quality I saw in the midst of a few non quality contents made me confirm again that I am in the right place.

It's not about earning first, you should have it in mind that your Contents reflects you more than any other activity you indulge in here on Hive, make them count greatly.

And no, it's not about being consistent with creating contents alone, you should also be consistent in creating contents that could make a difference and tell good of the blockchain.

I always have these in mind when I create contents on Hive

• Originality, quality and meaningful to readers.
• My audience are waiting for my next content.
• I have to learn and improve to create even better contents.
• Other impressive Contents are valuable hints.
• My contents says who I am here on Hive.

Keeping up with all these have helped me put out better contents than when I started years ago. Make your contents king and don't stop there, keep it at it in a community and do not lose the essence of having a priority in creating quality contents.

As the image says, and like my onboarder made sure of to me, you should know the importance of community in making Contents that can pass as King like the phrase says. Connecting with like minds on Hive is as important as having good Contents that those minds should come reading when they visit your profile.

The Hive communities have proven to help a lot of people grow from how they were when they joined especially with the various areas one could explore and find their strengths to build on a content creator. The communities are there but your attitude towards them is what makes them Queen.

Do you just try to be everywhere and not find your strength in a few communities? You will struggle harder to keep up and that is one mistake some newbies do when they are not told about it. When I joined, I tried to engage with so many communities but I learnt better when I noticed I could easily create contents for some communities and not for some.

Find communities you find easy to engage with first, be good at creating contents in them and then, you can try pushing limits by exploring more but never try to do all at once.

I do have these in mind about Hive communities

• I can't grow alone in a vast platform as this.
• I need to connect with people to be with people.
• I have a role to play in communities I connect with.
• The growth of my account depends not only on the kind of contents I create but on communities.
• Engagement is a win-win, community provides that forum.

There is a lot more to say about this but the important thing to take from all that's shared, Create contents and connect with communities, of course, it's important that you find your strength in all this to see huge progress.
