Galena, Illinois has so many stately old homes! Imagine what they must look like inside.

I'm always fascinated by the architectural details that are missing from the homes of today.

Cool buildings 👍 I really like that first one. I'm not good with architectural but like that style so I looked it up. I guess that is Second Empire. There are a few of that style in Middlebury, Vermont near here.

I wish I knew more about architecture, and thanks for looking this one up. I wonder if that style is an American creation or if it comes from somewhere else in the world. There is just so much that I don't know about!
