I got a WhatsApp message from my Chicago kids telling me to go check my front door for a package! They had been notified that a gift they had ordered for me had been delivered, and there it was!

I have a little table at my front door and a note for delivery drivers asking that they place any packages on the table. It makes it so much easier for me to get to them and bring them in the house. This box says Perishable. What could it be?

Chocolates! Two boxes!

Friday Aug 11th is my birthday, but we will all get together a bit later to celebrate, so they sent this delicious gift for me to know they are thinking of me!

I tried one with the colorful sprinkles on top yesterday, but today I may have to have a truffle with my tea!

Aren't those boxes delightful? They are both substantial enough to be used for other purposes. The one with the dogs has a flap that closes with a magnet.

I've 'nibbled' far more than I intended to today!

We will all get together sometime this month to have cake and a birthday party for my granddaughter and I. The rest of the family has birthdays during the winter, and she and I are the only ones with Summer birthdays. Hers is next weekend so we always get to share a cake!
