Flying over Lake Michigan

Millions of people turned out along Chicago's beautiful lakefront to watch the Air & Water Show, the largest FREE admission exhibition of its kind in the United States.
My kids live close to the lake and watched Friday's practice flights from the comfort of their own balcony, Some of these photos were taken from their balcony.

On Saturday they walked the short
Distance to the beach. They do not have to worry about parking or transportation. They were able to get some really great pictures from the lakefront.

The US Airforce Thunderbirds were participating in the show for the first time since 2018

.This was the first time they performed this newly choreographed demonstration of the capabilities of the Air Force’s fighter jet, the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

I have flown many miles in commercial airliners, but I don't think I would enjoy this kind of flying! And I am certainly glad that I have never had to live in fear of planes flying overhead.

Fantastic Show! But me too dont want to sit in one of them. I always wonder how they can fly so close without colliding.

It is good that your son did not have to take a long trip, dear friend @melinda010100 to witness this beautiful spectacle.
You're right, a few days ago I discovered this new option to upload video in Ecency and it's great that they did it, I've already tried it on two videos and it's really great, super easy to do

Cool that they did a heart for Ecency 😁 I used to be able to watch the Blue Angels practice for Fleet Week in San Francisco. Always awesome. I love the shots of the Thunderbird on the underbelly of the jets.

A few days ago, when it was Independence Day in Pakistan, a similar ceremony was held here and the planes were flown in the same way and then the flag was made.

That's super convenient being able to walk and not worry bout that parking dilema. They really snapped some dope pics! Very clear too.. I can even see the stars on the rudder - wow! Thanks to both you and your kids for sharing.

Such air shows and group flights of such aircraft always look very impressive and interesting. Even I made videos of such flights. But my eldest daughter has recently been unable to look at airplanes and other military equipment. My son said - I became sentimental after the birth of my daughter. Maybe my eldest daughter became like this because she became a mom.
I also became sentimental after the birth of my youngest daughter. Is this old age already? But I like to look at military equipment.

I hate thinking about military uses of the equipment, but enjoy admiring the skill of the people who have learned such choreography and maneuvers to be able to use the equipment to entertain people.
