Cinnamon Hummingbird
(Edited)
Cinnamon Hummingbird - Amazilia rutila
Like most hummingbirds, the Cinnamon Hummingbird is territorial and defends its feeding sites from intrusion by other hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. They are fast moving and fierce warriors!
They have a narrow distribution area in Mexico, seeming to prefer living near the coasts.
I'm not certain what these beautiful yellow flowering shrubs are. When I tried to look them up there were many that were all similar.

Lovely pictures, they are great
Thanks! They are fast moving!
Yeah, you are right ma'am
Are you from Mexico
No. Family just returned from a holiday north of Puerto Vallarta.
It is beautiful, its distribution is very close to my territory, I don't know if this species could be present in my country, I have another variety in my yard, My phone is very bad at focusing, so it has been impossible for me to capture it in an image, but I am thinking of making a feeder, I think it would be a good idea. Greetings, it is a beautiful bird 🌟
Feeders are great for luring them in close enough to get photos. My kids lugged along their good camera equipment on holiday specifically to be able to get decent photos for us.
The shots you have shown have been more than decent, I think the equipment is worth it,
As for the feeder, it seems like a good idea, look for how to make a feeder for sunzunes 😄😅, Regards
Hummingbird and these yellow flowers looks attractive and both make a perfect combination.
A great clicks and stunning photos.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed them!

Thanks, Mad! Much appreciated.
I love Hummingbirds mostly because of their beak
It is usually very long
Nice one!
Their beaks are almost as big as they are!
The photos are very beautiful. It has been a pleasure to read your publication. Thanks and best regards!🤠
Good morning dear friend @melinda010100
What beautiful photographs, I don't know how they manage to photograph these fast beauties.
I take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful Sunday
Wow what a heart touching addition to family photo album. The cinnamon hummingbird is so charming bird. Hummingbird is also found in my area but I am not if it is cinnamon hummingbird or belong to another kind of hummingbirds.
Speed at which these birds manage is phenomenal, stunning colour in Cinnamon hummingbird.
Trees often a problem to recognize with the number that have been imported from similar conditioned climates.
Excellent captures!
I am seeing this bird for the first time and it is quite beautiful to look at. They play a very important role in nature. And you captured it very well. 💞
Wow what a gorgeous hummingbird! I can't wait for my hummingbirds to come back.
That is a beautiful hummingbird, Melinda. I have never seen that color before and it is stunning. Happy spring to you!
Nice photos, You are very clever to take photos of a speedy moving bird. nice. :)
I myself keep going to make pictures like this and it is not easy to make them, the birds fly away and then you have to wait for them.
Nature is just lovely. As spring is coming beautiful birds pretty flowers are growing
Beautiful bird. Thank you for sharing those wonderful pictures of the hummingbird.
Regards @melinda010100
I have never seen a hummingbird in my life wow such a wonderful spectacle.
Hummingbirds are very cool! I've had them try to chase me away from a feeder while trying to refill it!
!DHEDGE maybe it will work!
Stunning photos, it's so hard to capture fast moving birds!
Cinnamon hummingbird is so aptly named with that beautiful brown underside.
