Autumn is here!

It's such a pleasure to see how so many houses in the neighborhood that have been decorated for the season! Chrysanthemums and pumpkins are decorating front steps and porches.

Leaves that have fallen from trees remind us that this season is short.

My deck will soon be covered with fallen leaves. It's always best to keep them swept off the deck before they get tracked into the house!

Some homes get decorated naturally for the autumn season.

Many homes have also been decorated for Halloween, so expect more photos to come soon!

It looks both human and nature has worked together for the beautiful decoration. Doors are decorated; is it for Santa?

Thanks! I spend a lot of time out there and I miss it when it gets covered in snow and ice.

I love mums. There are lots of houses with them out around here. We don't spend much on annuals... but if we did I would be buying mums 🙂

I send mine home with my daughter. She plants them in her sunny backyard and often has them come back the next year. They never do for me!

The house that has its natural decoration from the creeping plant is awesome. Because over here that kind of creeping plant will only be green all year round. !LOLZ
is that the bird houses on the far end of your lovely deck?

Bird feeders. They are continously busy and keep my views out the windows lively all winter. The cost of birdseed keeps going up but I hate to give up the enjoyment I get from watching the birds.
I love those colorful vines during autumn, too.

I always desire to live in a house like most of the people does in the States, you know HK is too small, most of them can only squeeze in a small apartment here 😖

We do have more space, especially outside of the cities. Some of these older homes certainly have plenty lots of room.

Our apartment in Shenzhen is about 660 Sq ft, guess it’s nothing in the States, but it’s not so bad in Shenzhen, and it’s super large for HK when considering we are only 2 persons living in a 660 Sq ft apartment

My home has 1900 Sq ft and I live here alone. I'm feeling excessive right now. 😕

Sounds that’s too big for living alone 🫣 I think she will be scared to live in that size with me as well, as I don’t go back Shenzhen everyday, it’s too exhausting on commute

I like having a guest room with its own bath for when the kids come to visit. My dining room is big enough to seat 10 around the table, so I love that everyone comes here for family dinners. I like my house in the woods!

Wish me and my wife (maybe my sister’s family as she is also on hive) could visit your home one day, but sounds I am the only one who got the US visa at the moment 😂

I love the colours
Will they need to be sweeping it everyday
Right?

Yes. Many people have 'leaf blower' tools that easily blow the leaves away and the neighborhood is frequently filled with the sound of them buzzing and moving leaves away

The way we see that on such events houses are decorated and people celebrate each other's house, it is very good when people meet each other and forget their worries forgets and enjoys a lot.

Halloween decorations are usual in the USA, but weird in other countries/places.

Recently I saw in a Facebook group that people started to celebrate Halloween even on the Canary Islands (at least on Tenerife). They did a "zombie walk".

I am not celebrating Halloween, but Happy Halloween to everyone, who celebrate it.

That's the kind of house I really like because I see lots of flower pots with fruit like pumpkins and so on.👍
