Proof of Brain the new kid on the block that is growing at a steady pace.
Good morning lions I hope you're doing well and having a wonderful weekend. I'm pretty excited it's the weekend although I have a number of things I need to do still to finish my work, I'm taking some time out to engage abit on Leo and Hive.
I wanted to talk abit about @proofofbrainio the new kid on the block (chain). I remember when proofofbrain first launched and I decided to pick up a few tokens and support the community by using the tag and upvoting. I then consolidated my tokens to @brofi to help with curation to enable people to receive bigger upvotes. In return while I was BUIDL my PoB account I was receiving bro tokens.
This method got me to the top 50 PoB holders which I've only just recently dropped out of. Not so much because I'm not using the tag but mainly because I'm realigning my account to maximise my upvotes to you.
I've found that if I have an even spread of tokens on my account I can give you a few Hive worth of upvotes with one upvote. For instance if you post on Leo and use the Proofofbrain tag a 100% upvote will mint I believe 3hive. (It was a little higher at one stage but market is down.
To mint 3 Hive from Hive alone would need me to be an Orac. Which is what I'm aiming to be. I've just found a way to do it sooner through the use of community tokens that I have staked.
While all my other tokens I'm collecting sit with Brofi for the interim while I buidl and receive a passive income to help me grow. I'm aiming to be able to mint 5 - 10 Hive per upvote. This is doable with the use of community tokens and community tags.
So my current plan works in balancing out my tokens so I need to swap some for Hive and other tokens. I am also supporting CUB finance by sending small amounts across to CUB and staking Leo.

But back to PoB. It's interesting that PoB doesn't show up in the top 30 communities yet statistics provided by @arcange despite having a strong user base. This indicates that the community is still relatively young and growing. Which brings me to price. I thought it was a little over priced recently as it is a highly volatile token. But it's bottom appears to be 1.6 Hive per PoB. It was recently at 10 to 1 for a brief time.

However, if we look at @arcange data for the most recent 30 days we can see the PoB is starting to emerge as a top 30 community. This is great news and on top of that PoB has unique users and a few I have been seen commenting and posting are not in the original communities. This indicates some organic growth with could potentially explain the high PoB token price. Yes there have been some Hive whales jumping into PoB too and that has impacted token growth sending it 10-1 at one stage.
But given that PoB is still relatively new and emerging with further work in the pipeline to enhance its front end I'd anticipate that it will replicate much of Leo's initial boom and reach a 4-1 value ratio.
Something that is quite exciting is the current front end enhancement @leprechaun is undertaking to provide a better user experience. He's chosen to build on the @ecency code to utilise it in PoB which I think is a fantastic idea.
My two favourite front ends are @peakd and @ecency and yes I use Leo front end also which is one of my most used it misses out on favourite position due to it still being in beta and a significant amount of bugs still need to be worked through.
It has been further developed since I first started using it and I really enjoy the new features but it still has a long way to go.

Continuing with arcange data we can see that Proofofbrain is seeing significant growth in the number of posts being made to it's community.
This is a wonderful advancement and one that has been occurring quite rapidly. It further provides me incite that PoB will emerge as one of the top 5 - 6 communities and when the front end is finished it will be able to recruit new external members to bring in more funding to the block chain.
My only question and one that may already have an answer too but I just haven't seen it is. Witness wen?
It's important for each community to have a governance voice at the table to help drive development and represent each community equally.
If PoBs growth continues it is important that they have an elected position at the governance level.
I'm looking forward to seeing where PoB goes and how the community reacts.

I've never used ecency before, but that proofofbrain in-process front-end looks good.
I think proofofbrain is up to have a great influence on Hive, probably change certain flaws people believe is in the system.

It's definitely becoming a great community and more and more people adopting it. It's great to see it emerging.
I think the POB community has a lot of potential but I really would like to see the use cases flushed out and an actual road map be built.

I think there has been some discussions in their discord around future direction.
POB's got potential but i think a lot of the excitement is due to the price. For better or worse, high prices attracts eyeballs, which then attracts developments which then gets even higher prices and a virtuous cycle continues.
Longer term, I think it depends a lot on the use cases and the number of users but let's see how the next couple of months go. There've been lots of projects that fade despite the initial excitement over the years. I hope pob won't be one of them.
Im with you on that one. I hope it's here to stay. Irs a great community and doesnt have alot of people as yet but soon it will.
It is only a matter of time, POB will be able to tighten all the loose ends that will help us be a striving community.
And that includes the governance you are talking about
For now, I think the team involved in the building are more concerned with showing us off to the world
Once we have able to reach the world, we will look into government in order to restrain dictatorship as as much as possible
Thats definitely great to know and I can't wait to see the developments and move into gocernance.
You're right, governance will be key!
In my opinion its depends on the number of users means how many user involved in this project
