Elon Removes Disney+ From Tesla In Spat Over Ad Funding

It was only yesterday that @taskmaster4450le spoke about how you can’t cancel Elon Musk and it is probably something everyone should be concerned about. Not so much the cancelling as I am not really into the cancelling of anyone. Of course in extreme circumstances people should not hold employment. But as I get older I come to find humans say dumb things all the time and aren’t always something they truly believe in.

But when it comes to power and control this situation is actually concerning and everyone should be worried about the concentration of power to one man’s hands or more so finger tips. Much like there needs to be regulations around how much power and control media and corporates have of a sector, someone will eventually need to tackle Elon but it won’t be easy.

In a surprising turn of events Tesla has reportedly removed the Disney+ app from its electric vehicles adding a new layer to the ongoing feud between Elon Musk CEO of Tesla and Bob Iger, CEO of Disney.

The move is seen as a direct response to Disney's decision to pull advertising from Musk's social media platform X, following controversial statements and endorsements made by Musk on the platform.

Tesla owners are expressing their frustration on the X platform with many stating that they are assuming this is in retaliation to Disney pulling advertising from X (which they have every right to do).

It appears that Tesla's decision to remove the Disney+ app was not impulsive. According to reports from Electrek Tesla informed Disney of the app's removal last week. Initially Tesla intended to remove the app from all vehicles but later modified its decision to exclude Tesla vehicles that had previously used the Disney+ app.

The impact of this move is felt by Tesla owners many of whom are now unable to access Disney+ in their vehicles. Many have taken to X and shared their disappointment, noting the challenges of explaining the situation to their children who can no longer watch Disney+ during car rides.

While Tesla did not provide a specific reason for the removal the message conveyed to Disney was "read between the lines." The question remains, what will Disney do in response and will other advertises take a stand against Elon?

Not to mention, Disney is big enough and powerful enough to develop, launch and implement their own social media business. Will they make a stand?

It starts from the name first. I think Disney should be as big as Elon so they should be able to fight this. I don’t support Elon in this though, lol

Those who could afford Tesla could probably afford someone to engineer/workaround Disney+ in their vehicles if their lives really depend on it. If I were them, I would have been more concerned about Elon coming to conclusion that certain Tesla owners (or passengers) represent danger to (his own vision of) humanity and using his the very same technology to "conveniently" remove them.
