Splinterlands - Cards Worth for Beginners/Intermidate Players

avatar

The game has changed quite a bit in regards to players ranking and this has led me to struggle in achieving same type of rankings as in the past. The struggles relates to how the rating system has been reconfigured by the developers. The main goal was to force players to purchase more cards to stay competitive and at the same time level up the cards to have better opportunities to earn more rewards.

I personally think the changes has worked, however for players that simply do not have the resources to build a deck it limits them from gamer experience and earning of rewards. As I been playing the game for over a year and seen it evolve I have some ideas as to what new players or ones with lack of resources can do in order to gain a better gamer experience and earn more. This is because I myself started small and gradually build up a collection decent enough to rival other silver to lower gold level deck collections. Here are some tips to play better in Splinterlands.

1. Rental Market

Purchasing booster packs or individual cards will require a decent amount of equity. In addition it locks the equity into concentrated areas where players who wish to have a competitive deck will likely need many cards instead of a few high level cards. An alternative to spending the limited equity is to rent cards from other players. One great location to find rentals are at @peakmonster Link here.

Let say a player has $1 to spend in the game. (Assuming they already purchased a spellbook in their account.) A $1 investment into a card will likely not get the player higher advantage compare to splitting the dollar into multiple rental cards.

Renting cards on peakmonsters can be as low as $0.001 to a few pennies a day. This will allow the player with only a $1.00 to be able to rent multiple cards to increase their total power rating and ability to compete at higher level ratings. A very good rental is to grab $0.001 max level reward common cards or common gold foil cards to increase one's power rating for the cheap. In addition have multiple high level card to play in matches. The gold foil cards in addition will reward players with more DEC rewards for every win.

A level 7 Undead Minatour only $0.001 rental cost per day!

Summoners at higher level are likely some of the most expensive to rent as they are necessary to use high level monsters. Yet one can rent a Delwyn Dragonscale level 6/7 for less than $0.01 rental cost per a day!

By getting multiple rental cards the player can actual play higher ratings and get more opportunities to earn more rewards with wins and completed quests. The earnings can then be used to repeat rental until player has enough earned to potential buy their own cards and for permanent use. Either way much better to rent than to by individual cards or packs with limited resources.

2. Discord Channel

For those who play the game but only through the website they are missing out on one of the best gaming communities in crypto world. The dedicated discord channel Link Here There are many well experience veterans willing to help out new players or players who lack the resources to improve their gaming experiences.

image.png

I have seen whales of the games delegate cards free to new users and giveaways for those who just chat on the discord channel. Of course it is not advised to join just to ask for free cards. Instead join to discuss things related about the game and be apart of a community that helps one another. The experiences players get from joining the Splinterlands discord will accelerate their gaming experience and card collection.

If you go on the game's home page website there are multiple platforms for players to communicate and have the same help as in discord. However I have been mostly using discord as it is the quickest and most active platform for players to interact. Literally 24/7 someone is on.

3. Create Blog Posts

In addition to discord and other social media platforms the one big one I am talking about is hive.blog. @splinterlands account is dedicated to upvotes player's who blog about the game on a daily basis. Players can earn up to 2 upvotes per a week from @splinterlands and the upvotes on average are worth close to $2 in earnings. When the players do receive the post earnings they can invest it in to Splinterlands.

This has been my main source of income to put back into the game over the year I been playing. What I earn through Splinterlands related post I spend it on card purchases and increasing my overall collection. As my collection grew I have multiple cards that I could either use or rent out for passive income. The latter income I would again reinvest that into more cards. All in all I accelerate my growth in card collecting by making posts almost daily to collect hive and hbd and convert them to in game token DEC and purchase cards.

Conclusions

There are other ways to gain a better gamer experience in Splinterlands without burning the wallet. Trading and flipping cryptos and spend the profits into Splinterlands. Do surveys on sites to earn crypto or do web tasks to earn crypto. Bottom line there should not be a limit in gamer's experience due to lack of funding. Instead there are ways to get enough to play the game. You can not say that for other games such as console games or pc games. Those you basically have to have money first or no game at all. While with Splinterlands you can play and earn to gain a better experience.

If you wish to play the game with spending very little Hive to play then please go to my peakmonsters rental list and see what I offer. Here is a link:

Card rantal is very effective if you are not able to buy new cards....
And always keep eye on market and buy when the price of specific card is low....
