In early 2021 Jim was outspoken about his bias towards gold and in favor of the new digital gold in BTC. Now that BTC prices are at a free fall Jim has come out repeating his bullishness for crypto as a whole even though he thinks there can still more drop to occur with the asset class.

Jim calls himself a "crypto bug" even though he has always been a "gold bug". He still believes there is the possibility that crypto will soar in evaluation and is in it as a hedge.

All this happening on the back that El Salvador has now declared BTC a legal tender in its country. Although this is a huge step forward for BTC, El Salvador is consider a small relative to China when comparing GDP.

El Salvador has a gross domestic product of $27 billion versus Argentina’s $445 billion or Brazil’s $1.8 trillion. China’s GDP was $14.2 trillion in 2019, according to the World Bank.

That comparison of GDP shows El Salvador is not even half a percent that of what China's GDP is. The question then is how far more can BTC drop when so many signs are leading us to believe brighter days are ahead for crypto?

Institutions bought more this go around. Very difficult to crush prices if supply is limited. Will have to see how this plays out .
