The tragic event that took place almost caused me to lose my eyesight if not for the quick reaction to drugs I would be nearly blind but give Glory to God that am not blind and didn't lose my life.

It all happened in the year 2022- Dec- 17
But before that, I will briefly say a few you need to know, I live in the state of Ogun state border, the border is between Lagos and Ogun state so the community I stayed in was Magboro In there the road is called Ibadan Express road where the motor travels from a different perspective to a different state.

There is a company that I worked for along the Ibadan expressway it is located in the Wawa Community, and the company is called Mikano International Company, I have been working there for about 8 months each day I walked from my house to the other company the distance it not easy but I have to be there before 7, Oclock to beat the deadline anything after that I will be deducted of my salary.

We have a Clocking machine where we do clock in as your resumption time and as you go home you also clock out so the machine never tells a lie that is the reason why I had to beat the deadline I usually leave my house around 5 am and walked down to the company around 6:30 am or sometimes 7:01 am I would have reached there and clock in that how I moved to work every day

On this Faithful day Dec 17, it was on Saturday I wanted to go to work that day as usual but I was doubting mind to relax at home cause I was feeling tired and stressed a lot from work, I decided to go to work I left my house at the same time the sky was still dark not yet cleared, I reached the long bridge where busy motors move each day ( Long bridge Ibadan expressway) I was walking towards Punch Newspaper company the Sky was still cleared around 5:46 am a bike man approached me with his passenger and trying to get my attention.

"He said sorry I am going to Ibafo where is the way" as a good citizen I pointed out the way as I was about to move, the guy at the back grabbed hold of my pocket where there was the phone I didn't know how he knew the phone was in my pocket I was like I hold the guy hand back he should free my pocket, the guys were still holding it and came down from the bike I wanted to challenge him who are you and the guy was like you won't release the phone right, I was still saying leave my pocket for me and wanted to scream I looked back and sideways nobody to call for help me and the guy was still dragging his hand away from my pocket not until the second partner park his motorcycle and hold my trouser at the back,

It was now two against one the first guy who was holding my pocket brought out a small cutlass from his shorts the cutlass is which butchers normally used to kill rams or cows at the market after seeing it I was scared and begged for mercy I reframe my hand from my phone and let him hold it I begged the guys not to injure me I can't die this December,

I rather lose the phone than lose my life that thought came to my head still yet people were not nearby to scream for help the only people you could see were moving vehicles they couldn't just stop in the middle of the road if not it would cause a big accident so they have to keep moving

After the guy took the phone the other was still holding onto me to prevent me from escaping and the one with the phone was checking if the phone could be opened, he noticed the phone was locked and had a password in it,

The Guy was still asking me for the password to the phone I didn't I was trying to dodge the question by replying I don't know the password It's my friend's phone and wanted to give him his phone back at work before I knew it I was been given a hot slap at my left house which almost got me blind I told them the password immediately he tried it and the phone was unlocked,

They were still not satisfied and beat me up to a state of unconsciousness I was not able to get up by the side of the road until after they left and the tragic thing was that after they left I saw somebody a co-worker passing by and I asked for help as he saw me he quickly rushed down to my aids and asked what happened I told him the story he was looking pity on me and said that how they do during Christmas time they rub people of their belonging, anyway I have fallen victim to this one I was able to regain my stand I cross over to the other side and asked my co-worker for N100 naira to reach home that day he gave me and I went home I didn't even go to work that day anymore

Before he left I told him to tell my seniority at work of the issue that happened since he saw me as a witness
I went home that day my mum was like what happened to me I said this what happened she caused those people to the bitter end I was feeling pain all over my body she took care of me and I slept off

After a while, I woke up and was crying bitterly over my phone the phone was an iPhone 7(128 GB RAM) and I bought it costly it pained me a lot after a day or two I was feeling my eyes swelling up and itchy a lot I was not able to see anything mum quickly rushed down to clinic and got me some drugs and eye drops I took the medicine and regained myself back, I used about a week on recovery before I could go back to work and even so I was back to work but the swollen eyes haven't healed I have to wore glass to work to prevent too much question at work up till now I won't ever forget this tragic event that happened to me.
