LABITCONF Argentina 2023: My experience (ESP/ENG)
Since I found out about the event, inside of me started a quite complex process, because on one hand I wanted to go, and as they say in Venezuela, even if it rained, thundered or lightened (as it actually was), but on the other hand, leaving my comfort zone in the interior of the province, to go to the busy capital, was quite a challenge.
I hadn't been to the capital in more than 3 years, and even though I like cities with a lot of movement, I have adapted to the quiet life of my small space.
But I've just come through a process of needing to get off the treadmill, or as I call it "the hamster wheel", and wanting to go, rather than social phobia.
For that day, I talked to my children so they would stay at home, and I could travel quietly to this event. I know it's not responsible to make them miss classes, but mom always sacrifices for them, and now it was time to return the favor. They didn't have any pending activities anyway, so I don't feel singled out or judged.
I looked for my options on Google Maps and after defining my outfit, which was also quite a process, I set out to travel with enough time to arrive without problems at the appointment.
The day was cloudy and the threat of imminent rain (who would tell me that even if it rains I don't miss it!), But I arrived. With my QR code on the phone, I passed the control area and they gave me my credentials.
When I entered, I entered another world! I imagine that's how Keanu Reeves must have felt when he entered the Matrix.
Before reaching the stand, I dedicated myself to taking pictures and touring the first area. These are the advantages of arriving a little earlier.
And then ... I got lost! But not to look around, I passed by and started to see the spaces of the other exhibitors, each with an interesting proposal.
When I found ours, the first person I saw was @soylaloreto and @angelica7, very focused on preparing everything. And the mere fact that they recognized me without asking my name, already made me feel more confident.
I told you, I'm in a process, right? Well, this is also about: stop being invisible, or at most, feel that way.
Then they came one by one, and in the end it was a super friendly group, all focused on representing our beloved ecosystem in the best way possible.
And even though the rain came, that didn't dampen the spirits, but quite the opposite. Many people appeared on the premises and even though we were organized by schedule, we ended up being present to inform and give to know what we are and what we do.
So much so that the time came for me to return home, and my walk to finish touring the place, was a kind of speed run, to take with me the essence of everything.
Definitely, it was a wonderful event, with many activities in parallel, so there was no way to leave empty-handed.
Desde que me enteré del evento, dentro de mi empezó un proceso bastante complejo, ya que por un lado quería ir, y como dicen en Venezuela, así lloviera, tronara o relampagueara (como en efecto fue), pero por el otro, dejar mi zona de confort en el interior de la provincia, para irme a la ajetreada capital, era todo un reto.
Tenía más de 3 años sin ir a capital, y aunque me gustan las ciudades con bastante movimiento, me he acoplado a la vida tranquila de mi pequeño espacio.
Pero justo he venido con un proceso de necesitar bajarme de la rutina, o como yo lo llamo "la rueda del hamster", y pudo más las ganas de ir, que la fobia social.
Para ese día, hablé con mis hijos para que se quedaran en casa, y yo poder viajar tranquila a este evento. Ya sé que no es responsable hacerlos faltar a clases, pero mamá siempre se sacrifica por ellos, y ahora tocaba devolver la moneda. Igual no tenían actividades pendientes, así que no me siento señalada ni juzgada.
Busqué mis opciones en el google maps y luego de definir mi outfit, que también fue todo un proceso, me dispuse a viajar con el tiempo necesario para llegar sin contratiempos a la cita.
El día estaba nublado y la amenaza de lluvia inminente (quién me mandaría a decir que ni que llueva me lo pierdo!), pero llegué. Con mi código QR en el teléfono, pasé la zona de control y me dieron mis acreditaciones.
Al entrar, pues, entré en otro mundo! Me imagino que así se debió sentir Keanu Reeves cuando entró en la Matrix.
Antes de llegar al stand, me dediqué a tomar fotos y recorrer la primera zona. Esas son las ventajas de llegar un poco más temprano.
Ya luego... me perdí! Pero por no ver a los lados, pues pasé de largo y empecé a ver los espacios de los demás exponentes, cada uno con una propuesta interesante.
Cuando conseguí el nuestro, a quien vi primero fue a @soylaloreto y a @angelica7, muy concentradas en prepararlo todo. Y el solo hecho que me reconocieran sin preguntar mi nombre, ya me hizo entrar en confianza.
Les dije que estoy en un proceso, no? Pues de esto también se trata: de dejar de ser invisible, o por lo más, de sentirme de esa manera.
Luego fueron llegando uno a uno, y al final resultó un grupo super ameno, todos enfocados en representar de la mejor manera a nuestro querido ecosistema.
Y aunque llegó la lluvia, eso no hizo que los ánimos mermaran, sino todo lo contrario. Mucha gente apareció en los predios y aunque estábamos organizados por horarios, terminamos estando presentes para informar y dar a conocer lo que somos y lo que hacemos.
Tanto así, que me llegó la hora de volver a mi hogar, y mi paseo para terminar de recorrer el lugar, fue una especie de speed run, para llevarme conmigo la esencia de todo.
Definitivamente, fue un evento maravilloso, con muchas actividades en paralelo, así que no había manera de irse con las manos vacías.

@mamaemigrante Marluy amiga no sabes la felicidad que me da, verte en estos espacios cuando los chicos me dijeron que iban a Argentina pense en tí en primera instancia se que siempre andas trabajando muy duro y el resto del tiempo estás en tu rol de mamá, pero ver qué te atreviste a compartir en estos espacios estoy segura que valdrá el esfuerzo para tu crecimiento y evolución.

Que linda experiencia que hemos vivido entre todos representando a #hive en semejante evento. De el nos llevamos muchas enseñanzas y sobre todo motivación para seguir aprendiendo sobre este maravillosos ecosistema y sobre web3.
