In the year 2023, Hollywood has had better success at the box office with two movies making it to the billion dollar club namely Barbie and The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Yet there is a sense of woke culture rising in the Hollywood movie business which I cannot ignore whatsoever.

Movies Are Made So They Can Have High Scores on Rotten Tomatoes

The times when we movie lovers would go to the cinema to view the movie ourselves and then give our objective opinion about it are long gone these days. These days it is about how well a movie is doing on movie review websites like Rotten Tomatoes or IMDB and then after watching it people will go straight to these websites to criticize the movies to their very core so these individual opinions are taken quite seriously and are considered Woke even some times cause now the Hollywood executives consider these reviewers like a mafia and must adhere to there standard of movies rather than providing their creative input into making better worth watching movies instead.

Woke Twitter Mafia Basically Run Hollywood

Hollywood executives are not only concerned about movie review websites like Rotten Tomatoes what they are even more worried about is social media commentary websites like Twitter currently known as X their movies are able to please a select group of individuals that are so important cause their views determine the whole quality of the movie basically. I do not agree with the Twitter Mafia analogy cause you do not have the right to basically weaponize your personal opinions over an entertainment-based medium but sadly this is the dangerous side of social media which we have to accept somehow. These Twitter groups have the ability to get a movie to box office success somehow are that powerful and this also means that the Hollywood star power has failed as compared to social media influencers somehow.

Hollywood Has To Cater To A More Diversified Market

The market demand from filmmakers is to recognize minorities like the LGBTQ, Feminist ideologies, Mental health victims, and other progressive movements.

Movies back in the day were not about pleasing these minorities and the biggest example of this is the 1986 James Cameron-directed movie Aliens which had a strong female representation but she was unlike Captain Marvel played by Brie Larson who would demand respect from her peers and get her superpowers without working her way to the top no we are talking about the main character of Ripley in the Movie Aliens (1986) who worked her way to the top by struggling and showing human character plus emotion to fight out the alien monsters in the movie, in the end, she goes on to succeed by rescuing that little girl in the movie. Ripley had the following characteristics which made the audience feel that women are strong characters and quite courageous as well:

• She overcame all obstacles thrown at her by the aliens in the movie.
• A never-say-die approach leads her to win most of her battles with these alien monsters.
• Ripley does not represent any form of feminist ideology in fact she plays the role of a vulnerable yet courageous woman at the same time and we see her go through the trials and tribulations the monsters of the movie throw at her till the very end.
• Ripley fights her battles as a lone warrior at the very end of the movie.
• Ripley shows a never-say-die attitude which gets her audience to fall in love with the character and makes her one of the best movie characters in the Hollywood Hall of Fame.

Race Swapping To Appeal To Political Propaganda

Racism is a massive concern still worldwide even when legally slavery does not exist in this world anymore. However, when it comes to Hollywood race-swapping your favorite movie characters this becomes a huge concern for the people who have connected with that movie franchise. Hollywood executives changed the recent Walt Disney movie The Little Mermaid's main character to a black female and they are talking about having a Black James Bond in the future movies of 007 as well. This is a real example of Hollywood going completely woke to political propaganda to a very large extent.

Gender Bias As Women Are Considered As Superior To Men

In the 2023 movie Barbie which is the highest-grossing movie at the worldwide box office garnering over 1.4 billion dollars, we see a clear agenda where Men are shown as dumb while all the intellectuals are represented by women and then later we see in that movie that when Ken is about to overtake barbie land’s government with men his plan is overturned thanks to the Barbies attacking the main weakness of men which is jealousy hence showing that men have the factor of jealousy while women do not feel the emotion of jealousy what so ever.

We see the same agenda of Gender bias in movies like Captain Marvel, the recent Star Wars movies, Wonder Woman, and many other movies as well.
