On the 8th of January 2024, we started the second edition of the Liotes Power Challenge. The idea is to stake as much Hive power as possible during 2024. The more you power up, the more rewards you will earn.

The reward pool

The @liotes.one account is the reward pool of this challenge. The income of this account is powered up and delegated to the liotes.voter account. This generates daily dividends in the form of LEN tokens. At the end of the challenge, in December 2024. All the LEN tokens will be distributed to the participants. The staked hive power will stay and continue to earn tokens for next years challenge! This means that next year the rewards will be much bigger!

50% of the rewards of this post directly go to @liotes.one, the reward pot of this challenge

How will the reward pool be distributed?

The total amount of the pot will be distributed to all the people who have a positive sold in Hive Power. The amount that each participant receives will be according to the ranking. The higher your rank, the more you will earn.

So far the total staked hive is negative

At the beginning of this challenge, all participants together owned 1'237'335 HP. Today, we collectively own 1'222'760 Hive Power. This is a decrease of 14'575 HP over the first two months of 2024. When we look at the detail however, we reaise that two people have done some major powerdowns but 67 people out of 73 have actually increased their hive power during this period!

I strongly believe that we will see a change in tendency over the next months.

The % of the vote received when you get an Ecency curation vote is bigger if you are posting and actively using Ecency. 😘

Only didn't want you to miss out! All content published from Ecency is eligible for curation. Curators see a feed that shows all Ecency posts. Percentage of the vote depends on how active user is on Ecency.

3 major power down, that's a lot of Hive. That's ok i think.

This is a great record to keep over this phase of the bull market. Of course, people have multiple accounts. I, for example, won't power down my staking account (the one you count over here), but I will likely power down my posting account at some point during this bull market. However, there's only about 3k HP in my posting account right now, which is less than 10% of what I have in my staking account. So, overall, a small powerdown.
