Haven't been as financially literate myself so I can reflect as an example on misusing my credit card on frequent bases because of the accessibility it offers to my funds and not doing my homework on budgeting. I came to realise that I could've taken less and spent less on good and services than I did.
While there are other factors influencing these like personal desires, the temptation to spend when one is at the proximity of a certain place can't also be ruled out. It's really hard to not take a bite of the food when one is at a buffet dinner. Oppose to this, someone else has the will to evade the urge and go the extra distance to save a few more boxes.

Moreover, am sure there could be another reason why people hire financial managers because some people just don't wanna deal with the high mental stimulation of financial activities.
Nevertheless, some people just happen to operate in professions which have financial aspects but don't require dealing with it directly so the need to hire one arises to ease the workload. Either way finance is involved. I mean aside from liquid assets what other ways do we get paid where we won't expect cash.
Well except it's charitable or spiritual work in which case we more or less expect blessings.
There's a reason to believe that financial awareness plays a part in the partitioning of the poor and rich. Others keep going down the ladder while others keep climbing.
