The cost of transportation
Hello everyone, it great to join this contest again this week, even with the stress of charging my phone here I am again. Let talk about the cost of transportation, thanks to @tergan for this great initiative.
Transportation is a means of moving from one place to other and there are different means of transportation like taxi, Walking not many prefer this, Biking, Public Transportation it is more affordable, Private vehicle and not many can afford it.
The cost of transportation in my country depend on the cost of fuel and once it rise even if the fuel price reduce it will be hear for the transporter to reduce their price only those with private transportation have the privilege to the reduction of transportation price.
The cost of transportation is differ from state to state and we have the cheapest transportation price here in my state. If is is within the state, the cost of transportation is not really high even with the increase in fuel price.
Before the removal of subsidy, I can take bike, or taxi and even tricycle at the rate of #50 from one place to another. For example, unilorin gate to post is from #100 to #150. The distance is 11.1km and from airport road to post office is also from #100
to #150 and the distance is 8.4km.
But now with the removal of subsidy and high inflation in fuel price the cost is now from #200 to #300. There was a day I was going out and it's been a while I went out so I know that the price of transportation have changed and I reach my destination I wanted to pay and gave the driver #100, expecting the change of #30 but to my surprise he said my money remain #50 to give him, I was like is not #70 and he told me that high cost of fuel make it like that, before it was #170 to #180 but now it's range from # 500 upward.
The cost of transportation determine the cost of living, since the price of fuel have increased, everything else have also increase, our normal allowance is not enough to buy what we use to buy, we need times two of it before we can afford it.
To go from one place to another, you will have to think twice if you doest have any means of transportation and have to take public transportation, in order to save some money, we will walk half way before taking taxi or tricycle and if it is a distance we can walk it is also part of exercise we will do the leg work, we need to save some money you know.

This subsidy removal compounded the transportation woes of Nigerians. We hope that the government comes up with palliatives soon.
The worst cases for me are certain commodities which should have no link to fuel price being hacked.
But in all of these, movements must go on
We must go on because we can't do anything about the situation.
The change in price of really had a direct impact on the cost of transportation.
I hope you are able to adjust well to the recent reality.
