Marriage, a lifetime commitment
As sweet as love can be, it can be more bitter if you think love can make you fly in the air. There are some problem we face in the marital life that was arouse before we get married but we fail to see it all because of love and at times we see it and know it will cause us stress but still push for the marriage.
It is better to have a broken heart than to have a broken home especially when the kids have been involved, it will not be a good thing to the kids mental health. Some people does not know how to differentiate between love and like.
Love and like have a huge difference, before we dive into the marital institutie we have to have the fundamental knowledge about the so call marital life. There is feeling, there is attraction and there is commitment. Attraction should firstly come in and build the feelings but commitment is what hold marriage firmly, once there is commitment there is a certainty of a last longer relationship.
Some people fail to understand this basic and have been causing a lot of problems. Some people fall in love when in a relationship and eventually fall out of it because they lack the strength to handle a sane relationship.
Once your partner have boldly show you that they are no longer interested in you, and you have seek solution but find none, talk to the family and nothing comes out of it you have to let go because if you held firmly onto the relationship because of the love and the pain of heart break you will be the one to suffer because you push yourself to the depth of abyss.
Don't marry someone out of compassion, if your heart or you partner heart are not connected to each other it is better to let go, put a stop to the relationship and look for another better option elsewhere in order to safe yourself from the stress of marriage which has no commitment.

BEER.Hello @leemah1. You know, what you say is true. Some individuals do not understand the difference between, love, like, and the ever essential emotional mix up thrown in, "lust". I have never believed that love is instant. You may have an attraction, but how can one love a person on first sight without even knowing them to the core?
People enter relationships for a variety of reasons. Some work on the relationship later and work things out. Others fail and flounder before realizing their mistake. More often, it's after children are now involved, making the situation even worse.

Some believe in love at first sight whereas it might be infatuation and not love, at times it might be lust like you said. Some people will see red light in the relationship but they will still push for it thinking the situation might change later.
This happened to my sister and after a week of marriage, the husband told her that he got married to her not because he loved her but because of his reputation. He fear what people will say if he cancel the marriage.
