Don't let them push you with pressure
What can we do when our parents think we are due for marriage and it will be too late if we didn't take action on time, when they keep pressure is about needing a grandchild for us and it is a must to obey our parent, is there any way we can escape their pressure? The tale of my friend marry out of pressure.
We are from the tribe where they think if you get married anytime after 25 years you are not responsible, our parents will be reminding us of marriage as if they are singing lullaby for us to get married on time.
I have to left home when their pressure want to kill me and went to stay will my friend not knowing she was going through the same thing. Her aunty will call me and ask me to talk to my friend to get marry on time because then she is soon to be 28 years, my friend is ready but her fiancee is not ready and she can't do anything without the fiancee.
We I got married, she feel left out and also pressure her fiancee to let them do quickly because she's not getting younger anymore. Her fiancee told her that he is not ready yet but they can get marry and have baby after two years which my friend accepted.
They got married around August 2021 and as promised they are taking there time before having kids but the problem is her husband family is pressuring her to give birth and some are even asking if she was okay or they should find another wife for their son.
She was facing pressure from her parent before getting married and now she was facing another pressure for not giving birth yet and her husband is not taking any action.
In this part of the world, we women face a lot of trouble and criticism which we have to endure because there is nothing we can do about it, even though our fingers are not equal but those parents will not stop comparing their daughter with others which is not supposed to be so. May God safe us from all this criticism.
