Lord Bamford for England! - Oh noooo, far too Leeds!

The Provisional England squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 tournament was released yesterday and Lord Bamford of Leeds, the second-highest English goalscorer last season, only Kane scored more, was not on the list!

Bamford has run defences into the ground with his endless energy, been robbed by VAR and provided multiple assists but yet, Mr Successful Southgate, the current incumbent FA lapdog thought it best to not bother, after all, he's Leeds and the establishment don't like Leeds, never have and this hatred is not going to be put aside simply to give England the best chance possible at the upcoming Euros.

Let's have a look at which forwards were included shall we :-

Jack Grealish, played just 26 games for Villa and has been out injured the rest of the season and scored all of 6 goals! His team-mate, Ollie Watkins played 37 league games, scored 14. Sterling, not really and out and out number 9 but just scored 10 from 30.

The stupid thing is, Bamford is the player closest in style and ability to Harry Kane, surely a direct replacement is worth having in the squad?

The pundits have actually been out in force for the last few days almost universal in their criticism of Southgate leaving him out. There was also no provisional call-up for winger Jack Harrison who hit 7 from 27 appearances. Again, despite him still officially only been on loan from MAn. City, he's far too white, yellow and blue to play for England.

Hang on though, Kalvin got called up and he's got a few England games in the bag! Trust me, if Henderson was, will be fit to play, he will well over Kalvin in the England pecking order, despite him being the best midfield ball distributor in the league!

"Not listening to your bullshit excuses, Gareth

!"

The only sliver of positivity I can take from this is that listening to various radio phone-ins and reading pundits columns, even fans of other clubs have been jumping to support Bamford and I can never in 55 years of supporting Leeds ever remember that happening!

It seems we really have become everyone's second favourite team and when England come home empty handed once more, we can all give Southgate the communal 'I told you so' as he becomes the next England manager to be dispatched to the Job Centre.

Marching On Together

Leaving bamford out is a bad call from Southgate. Only Few forwards on that list had more impact than he did for their clubs. Southgate got this totally wrong

I think so too mate! He works hard and is committed. If he has someone popping balls into the middle of the box, he will score many.
