The african mind

lets talk about the widespread phenomenon that is going on in africa now, where pastors preaching the gospel, telling people to turn to God are busy doing the opposite.

*i remember a news that sprang up like wide fire in 2019, a pastor in south africa told his congregation to eat grass and drink fuel that it tastes like pineapple juice 🙈, imagine grass and fuel, even recently a pastor told his congregations that the only way to make heaven is not to eat anymore.

i am a christain and i don’t like judging people but i think when something is outrageous then we need to talk about it, in africa i have found that many men of God are just on the lookout for themselves and they don’t care about the other person*

*we are very religious in africa but not Godly, especially in my country nigeria, we virtually pray everywhere we go, not to offend anyone but i believe prayer without action is a waste of time.

the reason God is not at rest is because man is not at work,
in africa we pray for academic excellence for someone ‘who instead of studying for his/her exams choose to play and mingle all through, we even pray for our goats that doesn’t have a cage not to get stolen, prayer is good and prayer is most things but not everything, pray like everything depends on God but work like everything depends on you

i know that in africa many setbacks in peoples life are spiritually influenced but not necessarily all.

in nigeria we are so used to spirituality that we term all problems as spiritual, even minor setbacks are termed to be inflicted by someone.

we look too deep into tests that they actually become problems, an example is’ in most times i see someone trip they always say it’s a sign that someone is watching them or it’s a sign that they should not go out that day, it may be or may not be true but i truly believe that these stuffs are naturally meant to happen.
it’s the order of things.

but the way we perceive things in africa is very different to the other continents*

though it’s tough to grow in most african country but you learn a lot and you become even tougher.

thanks for reading my talks and complains.
