Reflecting on My Zealy Campaign Experience: Learnings, Engagement, and Impact

I rested for three full days before I decided to write about my zealy campaign experience, it was a bittersweet experience till the very end of the contest as I came off way short of my initial target when I started the campaign, but the experience as a whole was something I was glad to experience. However, not from the onset I saw it to the end. This post will address a lot of the areas bulleted below while also diving deep into my own experience during the course of the campaign:

Did the Leofinance adoption on Zealy help me learn more?

The answer is definitely yes. One key thing about the zealy campaign was that I learnt more in the three weeks I was active than over five years of being on the platform. The fact that the quests were lined up helped push and challenge me and made me learn more and discover things about me that I did not know I could do or engage in.

Through my involvement with the leofinance adoption campaign one zealy, I had to learn how to create an SEO blog post during the campaign. Initially, It was difficult, but @anomadsoul had written two blog posts detailing creating an SEO-themed post. This article helped me as it broke down creating SEO blog posts into bits, and I understood the whole concept from the header to the body and usage of keywords to even putting keywords in images uploaded. No writer could have done a better job explaining SEO to me than @anomadsoul did, and I learnt from that.

Aside from this, I also learnt how to create a good vlog post on @3speak, as my previous videos as always been poor due to me not putting some things in place. However, I improved over the course of the campaign. I got exposed to lots of tools such as Reduct (Which is an online site that helps transcript all words said in a video into text), Hand brake (an application that helps shrink the size of a video while still maintaining its original quality) and Chat GPT which helps summaries all words said for the body of the vlog content. Tools such as World time buddy also came in handy as they helped stay up-to-date with the time for shoes and also track contest deadlines.

Did the Leofinance adoption on Zealy Keep me engaged, and was it fun?

Yes, to both questions. The campaign got me engaged; of course, it was fun to the end. One of the ways it kept me engaged was through the threadaton, which is usually announced to boost engagement on the platform. The truth is that it worked perfectly to a T. Based on the fact that I did not hit the ground running as soon as the campaign was introduced, I missed out on getting some important points which could have boosted me into earning more at the end. However, the last Threadaton was where I actively engaged the most as I did my part to help my team, the black lion army, overcome the other lion armies.

The theme for the last engagement strategy was the "battle of the Armies". This contest saw the active campaign participants divided into The Blacklion, The Brownlion and, of course, the Whitelion. I was in the Blacklion, and my team won at the end of the 36 hours engagement contest. It was one of my proudest moments as my team, and I worked diligently to ensure we won. We contributed blood and sweat to ensure that we won. The reward from the contest boosted me into the top 40 as I earned an additional 12k XP (Experience points) and an NFT.

The Final score ended with Blacklion roaring their way to victory, while the Brownlions narrowly edged the Whitelions to claim second place in the battle. The total points and key breakdowns of how each team achieved this feat is shown below:

A big shout out to @shawnft, @yahuzah @peniel2010 @rzc24-nftbbg @tokenizedsociety @fokusnow @ahmadmanga @underlock @milaan @luchyl for making this contest a big win as we worked hard as a team to overcome our rivals. A big shout out to @nonsowrites, who was, for me, the top best performer whose input could not be matched by anyone across the board.

Also, aside from the contest, the threads platform, which will be most used to conduct and carry out most tasks, was always a lively place to meet new people. It makes engagement on leofinance with people on the Hiveblog much easier than on other channels/platforms.

Was the Campaign Helpful on social media, and did it help Leo reach more people?

Yes, the campaign was helpful on social media, and it helped Leo reach a much wider audience, i.e. people. We all know the impact Twitter has in terms of reaching a wider audience due to the number of users on the platform. The zealy campaign was designed to help push Leo to many people, and the Twitter platform was the selected social media often used. We engaged in tasks such as commenting on tweets from top companies about why they should adopt and invest in Leo. I think this helped reach many people following these top brands on the social media account as they get to notice Leo, which validates the reasons for the campaign in the first instance.

Also, Most of the task that either involves writing, texting and creating Videos which are then mandated to be shared on Twitter for visibility for the task to be accepted. This, in a way, created traffic around the LEO platform, and it gave it the traffic and visibility it deserved by making it lots of people who were unaware of the platform in the first place. So yeah, I will say it is a resounding success in using social media, especially Twitter. The views on tweets carrying leofinance links and tags in my account showed that many people came across it.

Did the Leofinance Campaign on Zealy help drive adoption?

In my opinion, I think it did averagely well as during the early days of the campaign, a lot of Leofinance account was created through the use of the Twitter option, and this shows that the campaign drove people to come onboard on the platform. Thread, a microblogging, was enough to make them stay as they now knew they could from the comfort of their home tweeting on threads and making money, unlike putting up their tweet on Twitter. I personally invited over four people to join the leofinance platform through the zealy referral link as they are mandated to create a leofinance platform while completing their profile on zealy.

Also, users on the hive blog chain who are not users of the leofinance platform started using the thread platform and creating finance-related posts. The challenge did not just have something for finance writers. It invited users from other communities through numerous creative tasks. Among such tasks are the artistic tasks where you have to draw; there is also the part for bloggers.

Everyone certainly feels involved in the leofinance platform, as even the thread platform was used to conduct polls for the best authors in numerous communities weekly. This means even people who have not blogged on leofinance have to log on to the thread platform and vote for their preferred candidate.

What I would change and What I will not change about the whole contest

The one thing that will not change is the constant twist and unplanned tasks, which Eric could set at any time to drive engagement. Although he always makes a post in advance in anticipation of the new contest or quest, you will only know the details after a full game post has been completed and published. This twist and turn keeps everyone on their toes until the end of the contest.

However, one thing I will change is the constant change of the rules amidst the action. The one I witnessed was the prize pool announcement, and the last one was the 0.35 % rule for engagement being changed to 0.5%. These changes will not let the users know how to prepare themselves adequately. Changes in rules in between the game could tire some people out, and they slide out of the contest due to excessive and non-compliance with the rules set beforehand.


In conclusion, I feel this campaign was a resounding success in terms of reach, visibility, and adequate reach as it embraced all communities. Adoption was achieved, thread testing was achieved, and the limit was also tested, and it goes a long way to show that the platform is ready for the world to be involved.

The talk of the zealy campaign is one that will not end so soon, although it has come and gone. I learnt a lot from it too.
