Fermented Cassava Sandwich

It is common to make banana sandwich, chocolate sandwich and peanut sandwich. This time I would like to share fermented cassava sandwich. Fermented cassava has sweet taste. It is soft and tender. There is an aroma of alcohol because the sugar in the cassava turns to be alcohol.

Let's try to make fermented cassava sandwich !

You only need two slices of bread and a piece of tender fermented cassava.
First, Grease a roasting pan with butter and roast the fermented cassava. Turn the cassava over after it is brownish.

Second, roast the bread with some butter.

Third, put the roasted fermented cassava on the bread, and add some sweetened milk on it.

Fourth, put another bread on it.

Then, take out the sandwich and cut into four pieces.
Finally, Serve the sandwich with a cup of coffee. It is great for breakfast.

Fermented cassava has high glucose. It is not good for you who avoid sugar but it is good for you who are active because it has high calories.

With a cup of moccacino coffee, the sandwich will energize your day until you have lunch.

You can also serve it during the break time. It is simple snack you can make in your office or work place. You can also share with your friends.

To make this snack, you need only fifteen minutes if everything is available. I think it is a fast food you can make in a busy hour.

Is fermented cassava available in your area? Here in Bekasi, a kilo of fermented cassava is around $0.9. It is very cheap. A kilo of raw cassava is arond $0.4. Fermented cassava is steamed cassava sprinkled with yeast and covered tightly for approximately three days. After three days, the sugar in steamed cassava becomes sweet and soft. Thanks....!

How is the fermented cassava made? Did you make it all by yourself? Did you buy a finished product around that cost? It’s my first time to hear a fermented cassava, but your recipe sounds so interesting to try. I never tasted this kind of toasted bread because my simple idea is just to rub the soft bread with a margarine and preheat in the oven ‘till the surface is brown.
