A Charity Day In My School

This morning, my school held a charity day. The school colaborated with Denso corp. Denso corp is a manufaturer of car air conditioners. The moment was held in Ramadhan.

The charity was for 120 families , 70 students and teachers. The event started at 9.00 in the morning. The representative of Denso corp gave a speech followed by the leader of the community and the school head master.

The charity gave a package of food. They were 1 carton of instant noodle (indomie), 5 kg of rice, 1 littre of vegetable oil and 1 kg of sugar.

The families were very enthusiastic. Their data were recorded before the charity day. The school gave coupons a week before the event.

The event is held every year. The food will help people to save their expense in the coming week. Next week, in Indonesia where the Muslim population is the majority, there will be celebration of Iedul Fitri. People visit their families, relatives and friends. It is the tradition in Iedul Fitri. To serve the guests, the hosts should prepare some snacks and meals. The tradition will make the relationship closer and tighter. On this occasion, families will spend a lot of money. People usually save some money to welcome the event. It is an important moment because it is only once in a year.
