En esta oportunidad quiero presentar e inaugurar una sección donde voy a estar jugando juegos retros, de los 80’ y 90’. No sé cuantos capítulos vaya a tener. Depende de si gusta o no.

Se podría decir que mi infancia en el mundo de los videojuegos fue un poco extraña y poco común. A pesar de que no pertenezco a esa generación, mi primer acercamiento a los videojuegos fue con títulos de máquinas árcade. Cuando era niño (6 o 7 años) mi papá me regaló una computadora que venía con un emulador y cientos de juegos árcade.

You could say that my childhood in the world of video games was a bit strange and unusual. Even though I don't belong to that generation, my first approach to video games was with arcade titles. When I was a kid (6 or 7 years old) my dad gave me a computer that came with an emulator and hundreds of arcade games.

Para nada me arrepiento de haber tenido esta infancia. Tengo muchos recuerdos de haber jugado cosas muy divertidas y entretenidas. Nos la pasábamos horas jugando con mis hermanos en el mismo teclado. Fue una experiencia hermosa.

I don't regret having this childhood at all. I have many memories of playing fun and entertaining games. We spent hours playing with my brothers on the same keyboard. It was a beautiful experience.

En esta oportunidad quiero mostrarles un juego que termine muchas veces cuando era niño, Captain Commando. La mecánica es muy simple, golpear, matar y destruir. Hasta terminar el juego.

No sé si había una historia profunda detrás, era un niño y solo buscaba divertirme dando golpes. Aparte, no entendía inglés en esa época 🤣

I don't know if there was a deep story behind it, I was a kid and I was just looking to have fun banging around. Besides, I didn't understand English at the time 🤣

Obviamente, al ser un juego del 1991 es en 2D y con muchas limitaciones. La inteligencia artificial es muy simple. Las mecánicas son insuficientes. Pero a pesar de esto, es un juego que se disfruta bastante.

Obviously, being a 1991 game, it is in 2D and with many limitations. The artificial intelligence is very simple. The mechanics are insufficient. But despite this, it is a game that is quite enjoyable.
