Carl Neracher in America developed a rather unusual motorcycle in 1918 based upon the 1905 Tooley’s/Zenith Bi-Car design, similar to the Militaire Autocycle with feet-forward driving position.

The design featured a low-slung steel back-bone chassis, hub-center steering and friction drive transmission (driven by a flywheel off the engine), powered by single-cylinder, two-stroke 221/255cc (2hp) engines with a 3-speed manual transmission.

Production lasted between 1921-27 with over 10,000 cycles produced plus over 6,000 cycles produced in the UK under licence by Sheffield-Simplex, but using 2-stroke Simplex 285cc and later Blackburne 4-stroke 347cc engines.
