Medical test, pregnancy test & civilization

Greetings people!๐Ÿ™Œ

A few months ago, I was down with sickness, especially stomach pain. I took all manner of medicines, including self and my doctor's prescription, and it remained the same. Then, my brother resurrected the idea of going to the laboratory for a checkup to know the cause of the stomach pain.
I was so confident that it couldn't be an ulcer or appendicitis, as he and other people concluded, so I refused to adhere to his pleas, knowing fully well that the journey would end up chopping half of my net worth.

Well, he and neighbors persisted with the laboratory test as if they want to know if I was pregnant. I had to give in for evidence of doubt.

On the early morning of a Friday, I got up and found my way to the laboratory, a private lab. I got there around 7:30, and I was told that the lab man had not come. They pleaded for me to wait for the next 30 minutes. "Well, since the day is still fresh, let me wait." I convinced myself and sat on the front seat as the attendant asked me some questions about my pain, which I told her. She gave me a card, and I paid.

Thank God I was with my phone, so I got glued to my phone with my head bent down, and what I heard next was, "I want to do a pregnancy test."

I raised my head to see a teen girl and a boy within the age range of the girl standing before the attendant.
"Okay, the pregnancy test is N3,500; pay to this account," the attendant directed. They paid and sat down next to me.

As I was seated, many thoughts were flashing in my mind:
"Is this girl not shy about getting pregnant at her age?"

"She didn't even hide her voice; see the way she requested a pregnancy test"

"No, the two of them are not married; it can't be! These two are mere boyfriend and girlfriend doing their thing in a uncompleted building"

Gosh!

I was still imagining when a girl of the same age worked in, met the attendance, and asked for an account number to pay for a pregnancy test. She didn't ask how much for the test; she knew already, which shows that she's a regular customer of checking pregnancy.

Oh my God! The clashes of thoughts in my head increased, and I was just dumb.

I grew up in a setting where premature or unplanned pregnancy was taboo. Once a lady notices that she's pregnant, she tries her best to hide the symptoms until the man involved takes responsibility.
In those days, ladies pick common symptoms in their body and reactions such as vomiting, constant fever, and depression as a way of identifying pregnancy; they don't openly go to the hospital for a pregnancy test because they don't want to be seen.
But now, things have changed big time. Ladies go for pregnancy tests like they the way they go to the market.

You want to backlash me, right?
Please feel sorry for me; it's my fault. I haven't been going out recently; in fact, it was my first time visiting a lab for a test, and I didn't know that small girls go there for pregnancy tests like the way we check LiveScore.
I didn't know that civilization had gotten to this level.

I feel so bad for not following this trend and thread; it seems I'm the only one left outโ€”the only one left out from taking a girl or sponsoring a girl to go for a pregnancy test. Gosh! I've been missing a lot.
I need to wake up and do the needful.

Thanks for reading

I still remembered seeing some girls going to the chemist to buy postinor and would proud opening their mouth to mention it. In fact, during those times, buying condom was done secretly but today, it is a norms everyday.
Civilisation has changed a lot of things.
How is your health now?

There's no way! The two of them can not be living in the same house. Who rent the house? The only way the boy(with his look) could afford a house is when he's into Yahoo.

You haven't been to hospital for pregnancy test? Haaa!
You've been doing that at home with the simple medical scan?

Sorry, that I shook your table ๐Ÿคญ

Ummmmm...
The test result came out negative. Like, nothing like ulcer or appendicitis.
Although, I'm still feeling the symptoms somehow.
Are you a medical student? Let me enroll for treatment. Lol๐Ÿ˜„
