Before I talk about my battles for the week, if you have not heard about the Baron's Bounty Bitcoin Halving Promo Event, then you are missing out on a lot. I was missing out too until I started seeing posts about it and decided to look into it too hehe… from what I've been hearing, this is in anticipation for the bull run, and oh yes I'm super excited about it. The promo gives players access to 2 promo cards which will only be available for 15 days (we are already two days gone) after which no one will have access to the cards except its holders who decide to sell. I can already see some legendary cards up, which of course I pray I am able to add to my collection before the promo ends…

HOW TO PARTICIPATE AND WHAT YOU STAND TO GAIN

There will be a lot of juicy rewards for participants, so if you ain't participating, you are missing out on a lot. To participate all you need to do is go to shop in your splinterlands game dashboard, and you will see the cards available currently. Did I mention a prize pool of $100,000… hehe talk about juicy rewards huh! I will try swap some coins and see what it will get me at the end of the day so I can participate as well.

This week started with a couple of losses for me, but I didn't mind because I was certain I knew what I was doing this time, and sometimes things might not go your way even if you know what you are doing. Even though I knew what I was doing, it was clear that it was a matter of cards and strategy and I guess I'm not just accustomed to most of the cards yet. I tried renting some cards with no success, I think I will need to be guided to successfully rent one. However, I'm certain I will be able to do that before the end of April because I can't wait to start playing with real cards and earn more from the game. This week I've had two good wins in six trials hehe… so much for knowing what I was doing right.

However, the four losses were because I underestimated the modern league and let my guard down. However, the last two wins changed the whole game plan Because I decided to try out a new strategy which worked, but I'm not sure how long it will continue working and I'm still yet to determine how I will use that strategy in case of lower mana. When I used that strategy in the very last game, I won by a narrow escape as most of my opponent's cards had more pace than mine. So it was a matter of speed over strength. I won because I used some little magic cards to buy me time, however, a win is still a win lol.

I started out with that big monster called Ulundin Overseer. If I'm to be honest I'm not still fully sure of the full potential of that card, but I remember in the past, it's usually hard for some cards to get through it when it's in the first position. Well, I also noticed that Deeplurker was more free to attack from the second position when paired with Ulundin Overseer. And then I decided to add up two cards with melee attack abilities in third and Fourth position and I'm glad they never disappointed. Diemonshark came third and Flying Squid came forth while my favorite healer card for now the Medellin guardian came fifth and Anasth Soothsayer did well to remove negative effects from Ulundin Overseer in first position.

Anasth Soothsayer fired first and took out an enemy card immediately although Medellin guardian was under attack the whole time, which made it hard to heal damages, but the major advantage my cards had was the fact that the hits I gave made it hard for my opponents to counter having no healing card. So at the end of the day, I ended up losing to the only Medellin guardian in the battle, which was the card with the lowest health. The rest of the cards were firing from everywhere which was also a joy to watch lol. Well, that's all for this week's social media challenge. You can watch the game with the battle link lol.
