During the coronavirus pandemic lots of new things have been created and became the trend. One of them was the photo dumb trend.

If you are not familiar with this term then I will explain it to you in detail. When sitting idle and having nothing much to do and just think, people tend to create something new and some of these things become famous and followed by others too.

This is how photo dumb was created during the pandemic. This trend was followed crazily on social media and it's still followed. Lots of companies and brands are also using it for the promotion of their products.

The photo dumb trend is like a breath of fresh air in the world where everyone makes sure to post their pictures and videos fully polished and Photoshopped making it perfect and also artificial.

Photo dumb is actually not something new but it can be explained in simple words. Posting the pictures on social media without making any changes.

These are original photos, which are unfiltered, unedited and raw. It makes us feel nostalgic and brings back old memories.

In the earlier days of social media, people started posting raw pictures with lots of flaws on Facebook and other social media platforms without worrying about perfection like nowadays.

It has affected our lives positively. It shows that we can share our pictures and lives without filters.

There is beauty in everything and every moment of our lives. We don't need to be artificial to look beautiful. We should accept pictures without filters and Photoshop. Not every moment of life should be scripted or edited.

It has changed the landscape of social media as now people are moving towards originality. It boasts self confidence, acceptance and originality.

How do brands and companies use it for their benefit?

Photo dumb is used to make people feel connected to the products by sharing unedited pictures and videos with original backgrounds.

Making people feel nostalgic about the products, is the best way to promote the brand.

People will feel association, familiarity and comfort with the brand .This is now a new way to attract customers and increase sales which is working for the brands.
