Do you have a clear Financial Goal?

Since the last quarter of this year is rapidly creeping up, it's safe to say that we are already at a crossroads and this begs questions about how prepared we are to take a good look at the things we've achieved so far. I mean, that surely has to be done sooner or later. You will have to look back at the goals you set for yourself and see if you nailed them this year.

Some people can be well-detailed when setting goals, they set diet goals, health goals, travel goals and thereabouts. I like when such clarity is given to the things we want to achieve because it makes it easier to look at each of these goals and see how far you've come and what is yet to be done.

What about your finances? Did you set a financial goal for the year?

I hope you do because healthy finances can lead to an overall well-being of mind and body and if you happen to be interested in being in control of your finances, one of the things you need to get right is your financial plan. Like, this isn't something to play around with and I'm sure you must have noticed how rough it can be to have a poor financial record.

As far as getting my finances right is concerned, the things I usually look out for are;

1. My Earnings: Do you know how hard it is to make a penny? It's really hard to make money and it's even harder at the moment because the Fiat of several countries are losing value and I know we crypto enthusiasts are not very interested in Fiat. But, the fact that it's losing value will always have its impact on the buying power of whatever Fiat we hold at hand or in the Bank.

My target as far as earning is concerned is to continuously increase my earnings. I never want to start the year and end it without any significant upward movement in the unit of what I'm earning. Thankfully, I've been able to achieve this so far and I'm looking forward to making more increases to it before this year wraps up.

2. My Investments: Back when I was still digging around the NSE to see what was going on in the stock exchange, I always imagined that anyone who wanted to be an investor would have to show up with loads of money and that's partly the case. However, things have changed so much with the existence of digital assets which costs as little as $1 to invest in.

My Investment in Q1 - Q4 has been really tricky and somewhat strategic. I see the inflows from that investment and I'm glad I invested when I did. Now, the last quarter of this year calls for another strategic investment and I'm already digging around to see what the hell is buzzing. Haha.

3. My Expenses: Can I just cut my yearly expenses to zero? Haha. Seriously, how can that be done because I'm trying hard to work around this and tweak some sh*t to avoid spending too much? However, my expenses are still skyrocketing like crazy.

Part of why this is happening is the inflationary pressure we are facing in our economy and it's affecting the pricing of goods and services. There are things I can afford to cut down on just to manage my expenses, but there are other expenses which I just have to face head-on.

4. Debt: Ever since 2020 when I finished paying off the debts I incurred as a student, one of the rules I compulsorily stick with is to make sure that I will never be in the debt book of anyone. It looks like a tough thing to do, but I can attest to the fact that it's really easy to do this if you know the downside of being a debtor. I just don't want that life anymore.

I've already reset some of my financial goals which I would like to hit in the last quarter of this year. When we get closer to the end of the year, I will review everything and see if I did a good job.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma.
