It was a few weeks back when I was writing about Twitter (now X), giving the opportunity to its users to earn part of the generated ad revenue. Well, it's finally happening. But how easy is it to be among the elite of the Twitter (X) creators who are able to monetize their content?

I am @katerinaramm1 on Twitter and I admit that I had applied for the content creator, even though for the past few years I do not use Twitter so much for posting.

But what are the requirements to earn?
Let's see what was valid up until yesterday!
Up until yesterday, a user would need 15 million impressions on their posts for the past 3 months. (+ being a subscriber + having 500 followers + of course being over 18)
But now this has changed! X Support lowered the impressions and the number fell to 5 million impressions.
What does this mean practically?
A user needs to have more than 55.555,5556 impressions per day! (This is fiftyfive thousand, five hundred and five)
I cannot tell if it is difficult or easy, but it definitely needs a strategy, good, viral content, consistency and daily engagement to make it true.
If you are thinking to take this leap forward, the first thing to do is check out how many impressions you have now on twitter.

Visit https://analytics.twitter.com and you can see your statistics.
In my case, my statistics are really, really bad!
It will not be easy to go from 2.000 impressions per day to 55.555 - and it will definitely take a really good plan to do it.

How to join Twitter's Creator Program?
If you are a twitter user & content creator aiming to join the ad revenue program, you need to go to More > Monetization > Ad Revenue Sharing
You will be able to check your eligibility and if you are, you will need to connect a Stripe Account to be paid (for amounts more than $10)
Will you aim for the 5 M impressions in 3 months?
Are you going to become a Premium Subscriber and pay 9.92$ per month?
Do you believe that Twitter will reduce the impressions again?
I would love to know your thoughts, I am thinking if it will be worth it to combine a subscription with new content creation aiming for becoming eligible - but I have not decided yet.

Interesting. Maybe it's time to get back into some Twitter activity. Getting those kinds of numbers is rough but I would also say it's quite reasonable. Should be perfectly possible with strategic tweeting.
It is doable but it can take time and it sure needs a good strategy to be followed
