Greetings all and Sundry. It's another great day to share with you. Lately I have been busy learning many things. One of these things is learning repairs of some electronic gadgets ( blender, iron, "fufu" machine, fan and mower). So far, these are few gadgets I've decided to learn. I see it as a great opportunity looking at my background of field as science teacher. It's going to help me improve my practical skills of demonstrating some aspect of physics for my students.

Mr. Asiedu, who is the Master of this Electronic shop is very generous and kind. He is always free to everyone. I saw him when I brought my fan and mower for repairs. I chat with him about being eager to learn. He thought I was joking, maybe thinking about my background being teacher how I would able to blend my teaching work with learning this repair work.

I thought this isn't a problem. It's just a matter of planning my time well. I've actually decided to be here to Begin learning right from school. Normally after school, I don't do extra work. Now, the work in my garden has reduced. Unlike at first that I used to go to farm after school.

Introduction to the shop electronic garget

To every apprentice, you need to be guided for the devices in the shop and the rules of the work. Mr. Asiedu first introduced me to the rules governing the electronic repairs. He then led me to some of the gadgets we would be dealing with. These are blenders, fan, electric iron, mower and fufu machine ( used for pounding fufu).

This is "fufu" machine I'm talking about.

The engine needs some repairs when I inquired from my Master. Some of the parts need to be fixed in order to function well. The pistons and rings, the tappers all are faulty. We also need to clear the inner and out parts of the engine and finally refill with fresh oil.

I was led to view the Blenders here. We have the simple ones and multifunction ones with different model. For many of them, the fault is from the blade not able to function. Due to pressure of blending food items, there is always tears and wear of the movable parts causing it to stop function. The speed regulator buttom could also be one of the factor or the motor. For the speed regulator buttom it could easily fix. When it comes to the mixer rod and contain cushion they are difficult to get new one to replace. However all these parts are in electronics shop.

The blenders to be repair in view most of the movable parts have been affected.

The iron is just a simple machine like the fan. I was sharing with my Master how many minutes could an experienced repairer used to repair some gadgets like iron or fan. He told me that it depends on the state of repairs. Mostly on the iron the problem could be the regulator of temperature or the thermostat which has shifted from each other. At times the bolts and knots can be remove or the conducting wire can be disconnected.

The repairs of iron and fan isn't complex as mower.

Mower repairs is very complex and it takes a lot of time to complete especially when some of the parts is broken and difficult to get some of the parts to buy and fix. Air filter, housing and wheel, carburetor, lubrication system are all parts that are complete.

Mower parts to be repaired are very complex.

We need to buy some of these parts from electronic shop and fix. I'm now learning some of the basic things. I would be at work place after school.

Yes! It's good to always learn new things. I'm happy to learn a lot of electronics to also support my others. I can also use the knowledge to repair my few gadgets. Thanks for your support.
