Visiting the last Planet Fair in 2023

Hello dear friends of HIVE, this time I want to share with you my last weekend experience last year 2023 when I visited "The planet Fair" but before that tell you a little about the building that is there which is called Coliseo Eduardo Dibós most people know it as "Coliseo Dibós" is located at the intersection of Avenida Angamos with Avenida Aviación in the District of San Borja, Lima, Peru. It has a capacity for 4900 seated spectators, the enclosure is roofed and serves for various uses such as musical concerts, sporting events among others. This building is named after the former mayor of Lima Eduardo Dibós Dammert for his support to Peruvian sports since he was also an athlete.

It was inaugurated in 1989, at the end of the 80's and most of the 90's singers such as Eva Ayllón, Vanilla Ice, Maná, Magneto, Alejandra Guzmán, Daniela Romo, Libido, among others, performed there. Currently and according to the national holiday season, the Eduardo Dibos Coliseum also serves as a stage for circuses and fairs, fairs exhibitions also take place in the courtyard where various artists and entrepreneurs exhibit their products, also usually do raffles, Cosplay contests and all the people who usually go spend a nice time. I love going to this kind of events because I always find something new and I also find inspiration for my custom venture Uma Taller Creativo, I hope soon to have the opportunity to participate in this or other fairs so that my business continues to grow.

As I approached the Dibós Coliseum you can see the sign with the name of the San Borja District that marks the border with the district of Surquillo.

This booth caught my attention the t-shirts and the cute designs with different phrases and humorous images or situations, some are memes, in this type of garments are usually used different printing techniques. Mostly screen printing, I usually use sublimation, textile vinyl, etc.

There were also food stands, I was left with the desire to try Argentinean alfajores especially one of them that if it was attended by Argentines even wore a shirt of the soccer team of their country, I like the idea that this fair opens its doors not only to national entrepreneurs but also to foreigners.

Here on this stage there was a Cosplay contest, I would have liked to see who took the prize but I was late for work.

Under the sign of the fair I noticed that a small room was open to the public, where some illustrators were also exhibiting and selling their work. Among them were their own fan art drawings, pins, stickers, portraits, etc.

Here I caught some illustrators while they were doing some portraits and drawings, I support the talent of all of them maybe not buying but following their social networks.

After leaving the fair near a supermarket I found a spectacular surprise as it was a group of people with their respective pets, some cute and wonderful dogs of the Siberian Husky breed 🐶 I love dogs I think that with seeing all those dogs I dare to say that I closed my afternoon with a flourish.
