Ccori Wasi Cultural Centre - Art exhibition inspired by Yayoi Kusama
Hello dear friends of HIVE, I hope you are well. I share with you my experience of this last weekend which was the 19th of November in a visit I made to the Cultural Centre Ccori Wasi which is a cultural space for activities, research, dissemination and discussion of scientific and humanistic knowledge, exhibition of works of art, architecture and, in general, of the most important expressions of Peruvian culture and universal culture, in this place you can find all the academic production of the Ricardo Palma University itself, as well as other public and private institutions. It is located at 5198 Arequipa Avenue, in the district of Miraflores in the city of Lima.
In this opportunity the participating artists made art pieces inspired by the work of the Japanese designer Yayoi Kusama, in the framework of the Lima design week 2023. In the installations everything exhibited caught my attention for its impressive design, aesthetics and above all very colourful from my perspective one of my favourites was the tentacles with polka dots which is characteristic in the works of Yayoi Kusama, everything was very interesting and I learned a little more about this art.
I hope there will be an opportunity for them to exhibit their work in my city, I would love to do so, as Yayoi Kusama. has certainly become one of my favourite artists.
Here are some photos I took of the exhibition.
