Splinterlands: Season Update and Thoughts on the Last Town Hall?

I finally got a taste of champion, though after two games I was demoted to diamond one. I have recently seen more maxed-out summoners, and it appears that more modern players are joining wild. Why not? It is cheaper to play there, and you can compete with your old deck. I believe that the migration of players from modern is making it more difficult to play Wild at the top level.

You would think that the incentive of better rewards would encourage people to easily sell off their old cards in order to compete in modern, where the reward is higher, but instead, average sized decked owners in moderns are migrating to wild due to the risk of having to compete in bronze.

This is not to say that the big guys are not in modern. The only issue is that players with max level cards will earn well; however, players without max level cards in Modern will find it extremely difficult to compete, making it an even easier decision to leave.

Town hall, Thoughts

Now let me share my thoughts on the last town hall meeting. First and foremost, the most intriguing aspect of the town hall was that 300 non-earning bots will be added to Modern to provide players with opponents. Even if this bots weren't earning any rewards wouldn't it be justaposing the idea that modern is bot-free and all you have is real players? I thought so too.

Anyway, the argument is that it is fine because the bots are not earning anything. However, I do believe that at the end of the day, both wild and modern will have bots. As for the rewards, chests, and so on. They have been taken away, and there is nothing anyone can do about it; I believe the goal is to move on and find reasons to appreciate the new system.

Inasmuch as the idea is that the old system is not better than the new system, I believe that the element of surprise is what makes people think the old system was better. You get focus daily, you feel a sense of responsibility and all that, which the new system seems to take away. However, I cannot definitively say which system is superior.

I only believe that whatever system makes the game better is acceptable. However, any changes to the Glints system are unlikely to have a significant impact. I believe the major changes should be made to Gwen's shop. The shopping model requires retouching. Players must use their Glints to purchase whatever cards they want. This type of change will shift the narrative and enhance gamification. There were other talks, but these ones stood out to me.

In reality, splinterlands is not out, the game is still as competitive as ever, and infact, long-term holders are inevitably going to be rewarded the most. Why? They did not sell through the FUD; instead, they held on for dear life despite the uncertainty. However, I believe that as the bull run approaches, the people in charge cannot afford to make mistakes because they may have a significant impact on how things unfold for the splinterlands.

They still have me worried, I have a lot of assets in the game still although I have dumped a lot SPS. Maybe the bull run will make these cards valuable again, let's cross our fingers. I hate the glints personally. We shall see what happens!

How are you doing?

I have some cards and all, but I won't consider it a lot of asset. However asset is asset no matter how small it might tend to be. It means we're all concerned and I hope it all works out. I want to think splinterlands Inc is full of smart people who knows better than we do

I've read a lot of people's posts since the new update and the reward system has changed, so people are a bit confused.

Congratulations on Champion. I made a post yesterday about getting there and you got there today. I agree that modern is very hard unless you got a max level deck. You see max level decks in Silver league so there is almost no chance there. Wild is better if you have around Rare level 4 like me.

Well I mostly have level 3 summoners and I didn't have further cash to upgrade, but I'm struggling to hold down my own and I hope I can get back to playing there as well. I saw your post and made my comment

It seems like they got the message that some players prefer predictable rewards while others prefer surprises. And we will have both types to choose from in the shop in the future.
