Splinterlands Guild Play: Effort & Participation

It was another usual outing in our guild. We've not been able to earn as high as 21 SPS as we used to effortlessly do some months back, we mostly rotate from earning 8 to 14 SPS at best, and this time it was just a little over 11 SPS. Which is still completely cool. The Guild opportunity is probably one of the most rewarding ventures on Splinterlands, apart from pooling DEC and other assets.

So one can recurrently use their assets and skills to earn more by joining a Guild, and the process is not as complicated as joining tournaments or playing ranked battles. Participation is vital and the only prerequisite to getting SPS even if a person loses all their games. I've seen players who lose all their games and still manage to rake in over 40 SPS per fray, although they'd actually get higher if they win, so win or lose, participation is the main thing.

Although since I joined my Guild, I haven't played a fray where I lose all my battles, but I've seen those who completely lose all their games it must feel terrible. I played a fray where I Iost four battles and won only one. I felt like I freeloader because I still got the same reward as those who won big and those who won all their games. It's being a recipient of participative effort.

The results are not constant. The Guild is real-life an example of collectively winning or collectively losing. While you might have won, you might just need to share in the loss of your guild members and vice versa. But I think I joined one of the best guilds out there, sometimes I watch the performance of the better players when they drop the link of their victories, this helps you to understand how to actually play and win. Splinterlands is a learning curve.

You'd have to learn and master the in-game economics and tokenomics by watching better investors and better players while perfecting or coining a strategy that can help you win better. I've gotten better at playing the Guild and I have become a top-performing Guild member only once in 5 to 6 months of joining the Guild. (Not too bad) some days are good, some days.....not so good. This is because people are improving their deck, loading up on assets, and FOMO'ING in on the coming bull market.

Back to the activities, I think it's because there's been a drop in activity and the opponents have gotten tougher. It's more about the latter than the earlier. I lost the first 3 of my six games, and it wasn't a whitewash or a complete defeat. Some of the losses were because the opponent just had that element of luck, but a win is a win irrespective and it sucks to lose in manners like that. But, in one of my wins, the opponent fled the battle so, I guess the element of luck can just play in our favor too.Hopefully, the next Guild games will be better.

On the other hand, I just got my first-ever level 7 card Although it's a common neutral card which makes it resourceful across all elements. It's called the Gobson Bomber and it's a soulbound card as well. Look at all that ability. Although I'll still need a level 3 legendary to probably play that and a level 5 or more summoner, it's good to get this one, it'll definitely be useful when I establish myself in the gold leagues and have above level 4 summoners across all the elements.

I think it depends on luck and which brawls you are in. It all adds up over time and I still think Brawls are a good way to earn merits and SPS.

I think 50'/' win is a good average and the team working very hard to improve game and add some interesting things.
