Life: The Imaginary Proof Of Strength

A lot of people underestimate "luck" in their lives, and this is because they fail to understand that while we all naturally hope for luck, some people are not going to get it, and that's life. It's a hard pill to swallow, and it makes life a puzzle that you might never be able to understand. Some of the elements of luck people enjoy are made possible by the parameters that surround their existence.

I believe this is what weaves the will of fortune in the favor of others, and gives some others the bitter pill. Destiny is something I feel that is naturally bestowed. Some of the paths we follow are the ones were naturally given, just like being born a man, white, and some other intrinsic nature. There are things we can change and there are things we sadly can't. Life's harder with the things we can't change, and knowing others can change the things we cannot is depressing.

Some of the things I do at my lowest point is bemoan my inability to change the things I can't. It's a regret that hits when you fail, when you're in pain, or when you cannot seem to understand the principles that guide life. When a person is winning against all odds, they feel invincible, it's like doing the things that are deemed impossible, but when they're failing because of the same default obstacles they have, this is when they begin to perceive life to be harsher than it is.

It's human nature.

We celebrate people who thrive when the odds are against them, but we also feel pity for them when they fail because of the same odds that were against them. It's life. It's easier to feel pity, I mean, a lot of people cannot replace pity with empathy. It's in our nature to feel a condescending emotion towards others, especially when we hear of how life has not been good to them. It's a lonely world, and one of the reasons why some people don't know is because they've never truly experienced testing times.

However, no one should have to dwell too much on their pain.

It's a gateway to depression, but we can never caution or train the mind, because we're flawed, and rightly so. Life can be extremely lonely, but it can also be warm and beautiful, irrespective of how hard we work to experience the latter, sometimes, it's not dependent on the level of our strength or capacity, it's just luck. Some people can give everything to be lucky, but some people hardly put in anything to be lucky.

Thinking of these life phenomena is a pathway to mental illness.

A lot of people do not understand the intricacies of life, and that's why it's hard to comprehend things like suicide. One might think "Oh life is too beautiful to commit suicide", but mental illness in life and being extremely unlucky is why some people don't think life's Worth it. The mental energy to keep fighting is not inbuilt, it's inorganically acquired, and when we don't have the resources to acquire the strength we need to keep fighting, it leads to inexplicable occurrences, that we cannot understand.

Being deep in a mental conundrum is a slippery mire, and this is why it's just better to be lucky, free from life's occurrences that lead to mental insufficiencies. For example, I've begun to contemplate the last 3 months, and I still find it difficult to see the beauty in life, someone who has not been there will begin to imagine how easy it is to cope with. But then, it's a human thing. We imagine strength when we haven't even been faced with tribulations to prove that strength.

the stress of everyday survival is terrible to those living in low/poor income. One have to prove capabilities in different aspect in order to have some income.
Understanding that life is tough and rough and embracing every challenge with courage is the only way to escape depression and even suicide

Depending on the luck we have, we tend to see life differently. When luck is bestowed on us, life seems like a child's play and we cruise through it with minimal effort but when luck changes and the difficulty of obstacles move from level 3 to level 9, we encounter an invisible wall that makes everything hard for us. I always marvel why luck changes from season to season but what I prefer to do is to keep rowing ahead despite the season I may find myself in.

For someone as me, I think I see the world as a place where people never acknowledges how lucky they are. You're right it might vary in season. But there are just people who are never lucky in every aspect of their lives, no matter how they try to change it.

Yes, this is true. Some are inherently unlucky in life and trying to change that tide of luck can seem like a futile endeavor. But I believe there will always be grounds in which this can be offset to a certain extent, one just needs to find where and how to do that.

I hear you there! Life is a beautiful thing to live but when major health problems arise with no real cure things don't always seem so "rosy". I find focusing on what I can do helps, but still I really miss the days when I could do everything! Instead of climbing a mountain I will take a short walk and enjoy what I can see. It's not the same but it's better than nothing...

Hang in there my friend, when you're sick life isn't so happy. Enjoy the good days and make the most out of life. You may have some good years left, just don't give up!

Of course, it's how we begin to see life differently when all isn't so rosy. I think a lot of people do not have not worry about this and there's nothing as blissful as that. For me, it's not the same with the loss of my only family. This pain itself makes one feel weakened to life, like that immunity is not there. I'm a Christian and I attribute the strength I've shown in the past as a result of Faith, but life's hard when that faith grows weary

I understand you completely. Life is nothing but a rose garden when you're young, healthy, and full of energy. I know kind of understand the phrase "grumpy old men"! Keep your faith, it can help you keep going even when times are rough. Pain really sucks, I've had enough of it the last couple years thanks to the COVID vaccine giving me an autoimmune disease where joints swell up for no reason! Hang in there my friend!

Hmm
I won’t lie, I underestimate luck because I mostly believe in myself and in what I can do with my hands
I’d change that about me

It's what many do too. But, that is life. We tend to think everything we can do is by our capacity

You are right, I think most people think it is all about what their hand can do whereas luck is involved in everybody's life. And luck varies too. As far as you are hard working, luck will always find you or let me say grace instead of luck. It is hardwork meets luck and then everything is balanced.

Yes, but we're mostly blinded by our capacity. It's life, we never know how lucky or unlucky we are until we see others, and have a deeper look at life and it's various phenomena

We imagine strength when we have not faced the tribulations to prove that strength

Jose this is very deep and I have to read this sentence twice.

You are my favorite writer in this space.

It's true. We think we're strong, but the truth is we haven't been tested, and that vague illusion of strength is only in the mind

It's easier to imagine than to experience. Perhaps I wonder if it's luck for a child to be born with a silver spoon while another has to feed with his bare hands?
We cannot rule out luck or perhaps intricacies of life. Some things are just beyond our control while those that we are able to manipulate or control may benefit from factors of luck or otherwise. Life is beautiful.... And Life is a hassle.... Perhaps depending on the perspective life is viewed, different meanings can be ascribed

Well like you've said, we cannot just explain somethings but I generally feel that we play a role in how people like our children, spouse or loved ones become lucky, living irresponsibly and carelessly impacts the degree to how unlucky a person might find themselves to be.

It's hard but we can't do anything but move on. I hope you recover soon and you find a new goal in life when you do move out of Nigeria.

It's hard indeed, what's harder is having to wait for things to be better so you can heal.

There are many problems in the life of every human being and the human being keeps thinking about things that are not religious, due to which life becomes more difficult. Due to high tension we will get sick.
