What Makes Hive So Special?
There's a lot of cool projects out there in the crypto space!
So why did I basically ignore every single one of them and focus right here on $HIVE ?
In today's post, I hope to hammer home the 'ah ha' moment I had and that maybe, someone else that reads this will start getting as excited as I am about this chain.
So last night I was doing #myhivegoals weekly post, and @bitcoinflood stopped by and said this:
"....it all adds up with those massive and healthy APRs
Curation, Holding(powered up) and HBD hive really is a powerhouse of compounding wealth."
I kept reading his comment and smiled from ear to ear because what he highlighted was the attraction I have when it comes to Hive.
Let's go into Jongo's mind for a second, I'm a visual dude...So words are great and all, but images really hammer home points for me.
So tonight, while sitting in a truck stop, I wanted to create an image of exactly what @bitcoinflood highlighted and what so many of us have been preaching from the mountain tops...
Hey, it was a rushed job lol But I hope it gets the point across.
You see, this is in essence part of the 'circular economy' the savvy people on chain talk about all the time. Let's break this down...
Create
You jump on chain and start engaging with people. Whether it's through comments or your own creations, your content is...Your content here. So for a lot of us, it fires us up to 'create' even more!
Curation
As you create more, you receive Hive Power (more on that in a second) and with that, your curation adventures really begin.
You are rewarded n this blockchain for supporting others by 'liking' their content. How cool is that?
Power Up
Through your creation and curation efforts, like I mentioned above, you are earning Hive Power. You can select either 50/50 in rewards which is 50% in HP and 50% in HBD, or even 100% in Hive Power (HP)
The more you stake, the more your influence grows on chain. You can see this from the hundreds of members of the community that have been growing their stake, simply by....Creating and curating.
And powering up those rewards!

And finally, the chef's kiss of the blockchain...Our in house savings program, the Hive Back Dollar (of Hive Blockchain Dollar).
What's so cool is that you are earning those Hive Power and HBD rewards every day by being active. And while HP is staked and not liquid, $HBD is liquid.
You can cash it out, or even better...Throw it into your savings account and earn 20% APR on it.
And finally....
You keep feeding your account. By being active through creating and curating. Then by powering up and putting your HBD into savings and earning 20%.

And it works on many levels... including for those of us who are more "casual users" who like to learn more about crypto while being part of a community and experiencing the potential to build a small "savings account" in the process!

Yup, exactly. It's a savings account that start self-funding itself after some time and effort. It's pretty crazy when you think about it.
this is really nice post. actually these four ingredients (create, curate, power ups and HBD) that you talked about and that has this block chain. They make this dish truly delicious

Wow! That's a lovely post, I guess you are right with all your points and you said it all. Before I was introduced to Hive I always thought there's nothing much on here until I got here and saw a lot of things that's benefits and improved my technique, skills, and community to explore to gain more knowledge. I guess I can say Hive is a place where you can learn and earn, and before you earn you will always need to learn first, Thanks to Hive for giving such privilege.
That's a huge benefit too...You learn while you earn here. Pretty powerful way to be introduced to crypto.
I love each thing of hive. I feel overwhelmed whenever I see notifications that my content is curated. Curation of my posts happened just two or three times but I am quite happy.
It starts slowly, but when you keep at it, it comes in big time

Coming up for my 7th year in August. Writing every day on Actifit has earned me good Hive and has forced me to get outside to do some steps and take photos every day. That has been really good for my mental and general health. And I get paid. The best part is when I began Hive price was $0.04 - now it is 10 times that. I got more value by doing nothing extra

I agree that it all adds up. Just keep building and it all increases over time. I wasn't expecting to be where I am right now 2 years ago. Just keep showing up and it will work out.

I always mention that one wouldn't find an instrument like HBD, which is almost equal to $1 anf gives yearly %20 interest payout.

I think more interaction and curation you do, next few goals are easier to reach.Chasing the HBD from the start won't help much from what I have seen so far. At some point daily content posting and also delegation is definitely needed as well.
yup, it's a by-product of the creation and curation. which you power up and then the hbd comes.

All it takes is to be active to engage the circular process and let it build up and compound over time. I like the flexibility to choose either 100% HP or 50/50 split between HP and HBD with payouts.

Your graphic at the end caught my eye, as I am writing an article on that specific topic myself at the moment.
Engaging with each other and making a habit of it to spread value not only through voting but through genuine conversations.
I'm very lazy and oftentimes I bookmark articles I want to comment on and somehow when I get back to it, it is three weeks later. This is why I have decided to put "5-10 comments a day" on my to-do list among other engagement goals on Hive.
I for one need structure and try to emulate people like you, who have consistent output with formulated goals and structured habits.
I want to thank you for that and for a constant reminder, of what is possible on Hive.
